Flash drive boots, but can't install

Hey all,

Followed the instructions found on this site and mainly from this video.  I am able to boot from the USB drive and I get the option to install MacOS or reset nvram.  Whenever I click "install macOS" it goes black for a few seconds and then goes back to the same option screen.  I did do an NVRAM reset as well but still the same loop occurs. 

My config: AMD Ryzen 5 3400 Quad Core 3.7, 16GB DDR4, 1TB N.2 SSD, Rtx 2060 Super

u replaced efi folder and edit kernel patches for ur processor?

Hi Mald0n, yes I am using the AMD EFI, in terms of editing not sure what to edit exactly, is there a mini-guide somewhere?

(I assume you are refering to this?):

Hiya, I am using a AMD Ryzen 5 3400 - so 4 cores.  Looking at the config I believe it set correctly since 4 core is the minimum? Link to screenshot (not sure how to embed images).
