pit5bul Posted January 29, 2022 Author Posted January 29, 2022 I reverted to the working config, I can detect the webcam here but its just not turning on... as if the power isnt given to the device. I know this because in windows the led starts. Im assuming that there is a connector that transmits the webcam and microphone to the motherboard (both devices are in the screen part of the laptop) and MacOS cannot power that connection ? Attached the Runme zip, removed the kexts to be under 10 megs. i have attached the patched ssdt6.aml file as well, maybe you see something wrong with it ?Send me Petruts-MacBook-Pro.zip ssdt6.zip

pit5bul Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 It boots perfectly... unfortunately... webcam wont activate... im thinking ill just give up... obviously its a dead thing. Someone that has the same laptop but different CPU... has it working, i wonder whats the difference... same Vendor ID, Same Device, but the way he is setup is totally different. Check it out, i have attached his files. I tried to use his EFI but i get instant panic, and its a dirty setup, but it works for him. HP Elitebook 830 G6.zip

pit5bul Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 I will take some extreme measures like reverting Bios to earlier edition. My BIOS is quite recent and i got a feeling its somehow related, nothing else makes sense why there are other users with this same exact model but mine doesnt work.. Will let you know once i reverted to the 1.5 version from 1.7. I do it the old way via Bios recovery from an USB boot disk so i wont render the notebook useless.
pit5bul Posted February 1, 2022 Author Posted February 1, 2022 No change with Bios downgrade to 1.5.1 from 1.7.. Then i tried 1.5 to 1.9.11.. absolutely same, I will do a timemachine backup then ill try to do a Mojave install, i got a feeling its Monterey that is just too picky on USB devices.
