MegDiggan.com Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Hey scorpioserv, How did you get sleep and sound on your system? I have an HP dv6-1253cl laptop that just had Lion 10.7 installed on it with no dsdt. I have gotten everything to work well except the sound and sleep feature (and the cpus=1 problem, but will try the kernel patch on this thread). I have the same sound card as you and have tried the GenerateCStates and GeneratePStates=yes on the apple.boot.plist. Can you upload the kexts you used to get your sound and sleep working? Or some advice? I will post more systems specs soon,
MegDiggan.com Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I just tried the modified mach_kernel on my system and it fixed the need to use cpus=1 ! My computer is faster than ever, and my geekbench score has doubled from the previous score (although it took longer to finish the benchmark this time). Thank you everyone for all your hard work. (Now, if only I could get sound and sleep working )
scorpioserve Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Mine is still running like a dream, thanks to MaLd0n - I have almost everything working, just the geekbench still will not run, dunno why but I am not too concerned about it, glad to see you got your working on this modified kernel too. MegDiggan.com Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Glad to hear your system is still working. I was worried this fix won't last long, since I would get a kernel panic if I didn't boot in verbose mode. But I added kernel mach_kernel to the apple.boot.plist, and so far everything is great. Anyway, how did you get sound and sleep to work on your system? Those are the only two issues that are keeping me away from full system functionality. By the way, did you get your SD card reader working yet? I found a kext that works well on Lion. If you need it, just let me know.

Thank you, cpus=1 busratio=12 -v this is the only way I could boot, also I used an external monitor as the internal would not work with the version of iboot I had at that time, although I think it would now work with the latest iboot with Chimera boot loader. sopa Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 i tried it. the dvd starts booting and when it gets to "System uptime in nanoseconds: 2936402931" it stops and nothing happens after. Any suggestions?
Neo_01 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Hi I try to install Lion on my notebook DV6-6099el (I7, 8GB ram HD6490M) but I have KP problems whit the same report posted in page 1. Coul you please help me?? The DSDT that is attached could be ok also for my notebook?? Thanks for your support
Cassio Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Use cpus=1 to install, then you need "lapic kernel" to be able to use all cores. http://www.osx86.net/view/1945-os_x_lion_kernel_lapic_native.html -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Neo_01 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 According your indications I have installed the OS but now whitout indicating CPUS=1 -v at boot I cannot boot. Could you please help me to solve this problem. Thanks

Neo_01 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Yes, also whit the downloaded kernel. But I'm not sure regardig the procedure that I have followed, in particular I have put the match_kernel file in the /extra folder of the boot partition, it's correct? Thanks for your help
Cassio Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 No, you have to put it in the root of the partition, replacing the original mach_kernel, or you can use other name/path, but then you need to edit the "Kernel" key in Boot.plist with the new name/path. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Neo_01 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Now works fine. Thanks a lot for your help. Another point, do you know where to download the audio and WIFI drivers? Thanks
Cassio Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Search the same site you downloaded the kernel, you should find it there. For audio you can try VoodooHDA http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=454 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
