hi scorpioserve, did you get everything working ? I've been trying to install osx on my HP Envy 17 and never got the DVD or Flash drive to even load. I tried everything i found , tried some commands as well but no luck at all. The dvd starts to load and at some point just stops, i never got to the screen for choosing the language. Can you please help me. What did you use to boot and install the Lion ?

Thank you,

cpus=1 busratio=12 -v

this is the only way I could boot, also I used an external monitor as the internal would not work with the version of iboot I had at that time, although I think it would now work with the latest iboot with Chimera boot loader.

This was my latest holiday in Kosi Bay South Africa.

Yes, also whit the downloaded kernel. But I'm not sure regardig the procedure that I have followed, in particular I have put the match_kernel file in the /extra folder of the boot partition, it's correct?

Thanks for your help

No, you have to put it in the root of the partition, replacing the original mach_kernel, or you can use other name/path, but then you need to edit the "Kernel" key in Boot.plist with the new name/path.
