Mac OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion bootable USB for Intel PCs

yesterday mouse and my keyboard laptop not work,.

I'm forget what kext I've installed,.

and then, I reinstall Mountain Lion,.

I've delete kernelcache on System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup

and delete Intel = AppleIntelHD* and AppleIntelSNB*

after that, I type "-v -x cpus=1

It's success but, after reboot, the screen on the next installation (like select language, time zone and create account)

the screen just like broken, and I cant continue the installation, becase the screen,.

bootflag GraphicsEnabler=yes/ne I,ve try, but the screen still like broken,.

I've dual boot with win7, what should I do??

Read thru this whole thread and a few others and I haven't seen the exact same issue I'm having. This OS X 10.8.3 ML bootable USB for Intel PCs is the best solution so far as I try to hackintosh my Gateway P-7805u FX laptop. I tried Niresh - got it to install but only boots from USB drive; can't get Iatkos to install at all. Lots of learning to go, but a great start with this USB image (thanks!).

Since I have lots of devices still not working quite right, Artur was kind enough to create a patched DSDT.aml file for my laptop. But here is the first stumbling point I haven't gotten over - this USB installer uses Clover and it works great. However, when I installed the latest version of Clover via their installer pkg and then I restart, all I see is six small green boxes - I can use the cursor keys to move to the top right icon which I know is boot from the HD, but then it just hangs (no panic). Thus it looks like the default latest Clover messes up on the graphics (I have a nVidia 9800M-GTS card)? But the Clover version on this USB for Intel PCs has no issue?? I also reinstalled and tried the previous Clover version - same issue. So I then decided to try fixing this by installing Clover to a USB drive, and it does the same thing - graphics messed up/ little green boxes. So one question I have is why does this USB for Intel with Clover work but when I install Clover to HDD (or USB) I can't see/do much of anything?

Part 2 is that I was hoping that the patched DSDT would fix this (hey, I'm a noob), at least the graphics part, but I don't think so. The link to the instructions is to put it in the "root of the boot partition".... Hmm, again being a noob and reading I still am not 100% sure where and if there is any special process to use. I tried copying it to the top folder of the USB drive where I just installed latest Clover to, but no help. I then see three folders in there and I tried a copy in the /BOOT folder and also tried copying it to a /EXTRA folder, but it didn't seem to do anything. I can't figure out how to make any changes because I'm flying blind with only 6 little green boxes showing. Any getting me starting instructions would be very much appreciated!

You have to install a theme and configure it in config.plist, or install the Metal one which is default.

Example:

Right after I hit submit I thought of this related question: is there a way to install the modified version of Clover that is on this USB for Intel PCs installer, or to my test USB drive so I can study how that was built (because except for sound and a couple of other kexts it works pretty good on my laptop)? On the current installer version I have I didn't see a way to do that (sorry if I missed it).

Clover version in the installer is not modified, the only change is in config.plist and kexts in 10.8 folder.

What happens is that folder structure has changed since that version. You can find older versions and changelog here

If you download the updated installer (10.8.4) it contains the current version from sourceforge (r1794).

But the Clover version in the USB installer must have a Theme configured (Metal is assumption) because the graphics look/work great when I launch it, right?

Theme configuration has changed as well, it was in refit.conf with Black Green as default, now it's in config.plist with Metal as default.

Also is my computer too weak for Mountain Lion? I just wanted to use Xcode for iphone development.

Should I format my USB first to FAT before burning the Mac OSX for Intel PCs? Or is NTFS okay?

But I only get a white screen with the cursor. I waited very long still nothing. Also it opens my DVD Writer and don't want to close.

I tried GraphicsEnabler=No

Also tried -x -l -f -s still no luck.

I have an Intel Core i7 3770k, Asus Sabertooth Z77, AMD Radeon 6570, 256GB SSD(with windows 8) and 256GB HDD.

Any suggestions?

hack mac os x is 99% of reading, googling, persistency and 1% of luck u hardware be compatible

install mac os x is not easy.. like windows that can be installed in a toaster.. only need a dvd drive in it..

I am a noob at this but if someone could just point me in the right direction.

Basically I used this tool with clover and when I got to the installer and tried to use disk utility it only showed my USB drive. Chameleon went to blank screen when I started osx.

Do I need to install kexts, I don't know how this is done, I found the stuff to figure out my device id but I don't know what to do next.

Also is my computer too weak for Mountain Lion? I just wanted to use Xcode for iphone development.

Try setting SATA as AHCI in you BIOS.

The only option like that my bios had was SATA mode (IDE or RAID) maybe because this is an older computer

Did you try RAID?

You can try using TransMac to put this kext into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.8
