If you want to install the boot loader in this partition and you use MBR (not GUID, like if you already have Windows in the HD), it must be a primary (not extended/logical) partition.

Can U be more specific please?

i already have win7 at the same hdd,and i love to dual boot, tell me how to do that pls.

I'm downloading it atm, i'll share if success :)

Thanks & keep it up! An new user from France :)

EDIT :

Here is how to fix this White Screen problem : (For those using ATI HD 7xxx cards)

First, boot with -x or another supported GPU

Get fp-rotate from this site and uncompress it somewhere:

http://modbookish.lefora.com/2010/06/29/a-unix-utility-to-change-the-primary-display-on-os/

Open Automator.app

Select "Application"

Choose "Run shell script" (from the Actions/Utilities)

Paste this script (change de path):

/Users/user/fb-rotate -d 0 -r 90

/Users/user/fb-rotate -d 0 -r 0

Save the script somewhere.

Go to System Preferences -> Accounts -> Login items and add the script.

(Optional: you can set auto login too).

for dual boot mountain lion and windows 7,how i must put mac disk GUID or Master Boot Record in disk utillity?

If your BIOS is UEFI you can install both in GUID and use Clover for boot, check link in my signature.

You can also use MBR, this installer is patched to allow it.

Hello everyone,

I'm kind of newbie, I need help when i write the downloaded OS X 10.8.3 Usb file i always get error, I'm using windows 7 64 bit, when i downloaded the file there was no extension so i manually added the extension .raw by renaming it, now when i try to write the .raw file using the SUSE Studio Image Writer i get the error (see attached picture) this error comes after completion of copying process (4111 to 4111) .. TransMac says "No Mac HSF volumes found on this disk.. I also tried win32diskimager but no luck (it says write success) but TransMac can not find any HSF volumes.

Now im stuck here, please guide me how to proceed.

The file you've downloaded is an archive (.rar), you need winrar to decompress it . The .RAW file is inside,

Then you need to prepare your flashdrive, just download Transmac, launch it as Admin, then right clic under your flash driver then format as MAC system or something similar, then re-try to inject the RAW file :)

No problem i'm happy to help :)

Try to change the extension of the file (.rar)

If no success try to check integrity of the file under your Torrent application.

If still no success re-download the file :/

Np :)

While you are injecting the file, prepare the partition for your OSX installation. NTFS is not recognized on OSX natively so you need to prepare an FAT32 partition. :)

Currently im using Hardware Raid 0 for my current windows installation, so when I will break Hardware Raid 0 and switch back to AHCI I will have unallocated space which can be later partitioned in to Mac Journaled Extended through ML 10.8.3 setup.. am I right?

I have succesfully written the .raw file to USB and its booting through USB but im getting an Error something like (USBF : EHCI Controller Unable to obtain ownership, USBF : EHCI Controller unable to take control from BIOS or something like that).. maybe its due to sata mode set to RAID any suggestion? what should i do now :?:

This is my system specs:

Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme6

Cpu: Core i5 2500k

Gpu: Nvidia 560ti

Ram: G.Skill RipjawsX 1600mhz 4gb

Lan Card: Intel Gigabit CT adapter

Sound Card: Creative X-Fi Elite Pro

If any one can guide about Kexts for post installation.
