Ive allready done that and deleted all ati kext was that not enough.

Edit: well thanks guys for all helps the problem is if you have a netbook which is have an onborad intel graphic deleting the intel kext is a must and after that i was able to boot with -f kernel flag.

Thanx again the hack is now installing i will post the result.

Hi everyone!

I make bootable usb do as first post, install ML and fix some kexts. When I boot into ML with bootable usb (press 1 for Chameleon boot loader), i can login iCloud without error.

I install Chameleon boot loader to HD (same version of bootable usb: Chameleon v2.1 r2109, v2.2svn r2149) and boot to ML without usb, i can't signin iCloud, error "Unable to sign in because of a problem communicating with iCloud".

I tried fix below but don't work:

+ iCloud Fix with EFIStudio: http://cl.ly/2s3Y0K1n0d2g2s222V1P

+ Remove NetworkInterfaces.plist in L/SystemConfigurarion

+ Ethernet BuiltIn = Yes

+ I can use only model MacBook Pro (8,1) - Core i5/i7 (Sandy Bridge), changing model cause KP on boot.

+ Login fine in Appstore, Facetime, but fail with iCloud.

Tried with other Apple ID, don't work.

I reinstall ML, don't work (try fixes, reinstall ML.... a lot of times....... without success...)

I dualboot ML and Windows 8 on same MBR HDD.

When using this guide I was able to get OS X 10.8.2 on my Sony Vaio VPCSB1X9E (Intel i5 2410, AMD HD 6470 hybrid Intel HD 3000).

If I have read the first pages correctly then this installer is not that much different fro the app you can download from the Apple store.

I had to remove the ATI, Intel HD and nVidia kexts, the kernel cache and the AppleHPET.kext for USB.

Hereafter I could install OS X but the video resolution was fixed at 1024x768 although I needed 1366x768 (I know the best match is 1280x768)

I wanted to start all over again with tonycraps unishit and multishit because they should be easy to fix the resolution problem.

Another problem was that I could only boot from the USB stick, not from the harddisk.

But whatever boot option I tried I could not reinstall with unishit, it always ended in a black screen without even showing the installation screen.

What exactly are the differences between the unishit with the installer app for 10.8.2 and the one in the torrent?

What are possible solutions for the boot problem?

What solution are there for the resolution problem.

Is it possible to set up a unishit manually with the torrent installer?

Can I use tonycraps multishit after the torrent installer ?

I know there are other problems specific for the sony VAiO and I already have some answers but not yet all of them, look here or elsewhere?

I've been trying to write the image to an SD card and a 8GB Buffalo USB stick. Both produce the following when selecting it as the boot device from BIOS F8 key:

boot0: test

boot0: done

then nothing. I tried setting the partition active that was created from the image on the USB device but no change. Do I need to change any other BIOS settings or try another image writer other than SuSE Studio? It appears to work fine and files appear in HFS+ partition. Do I need boot1h or other files mentioned and copy with transmac from somewhere to the USB stick?

My system: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 Bios 3603; Intel i7-2600K; 16GB RAM; OCZ SSD and standard hard drives; Soundblaster X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card; Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 graphics card.

Thanks that worked, quickly held down key "1" after selecting my USB boot device and in the Chameleon bootloader. Think I'll stay with Chameleon then, always used it fine before on my older hackintosh/Windows system on Snow Leopard.

Installer loaded fine too, only have snow problem over DVI via KVM switch, think had it before, does OS X enabled HDCP that my KVM may not support? It works fine normally if I connect to my monitor's HDMI port instead.

Hi guys, I just got an Asus S400 and I've managed to install using safe boot but when booting

I run into this error NTFS-fs warning(device /dev/disk1s4, pid139): ntfs_system_inodes_get(): Windows is hibernated. Will not be able to remount read-write. Run chkdsk.
