Hey, so i added the AMD gpu and left the nvidia for other OS.

Should i remove it before i install macos to avoid accidentally installing nvidia driver by olarilo scripts like runme dumper app?

Also, does runme dumper app already contain lilu&whatevergreen recommended by opencore website?

Hey so i had problems again, thought i might remove nvidia card and verified usb stick via etcher. (using usb2 this time).

However, boot is always stuck at „GTrace synchronization point 3“ - my search suggets an wrong kext; but using the olarila coffee lake EFI zip, wich by the way also offers an replacement for EFI in the larger partition. This was not shown in tutorial so i did not use that.

Do you have an magic string to put in config file for me again :D

EDIT: card used is AMD r9 290x on z370 coffee lake

PS i need to wait for paypal initial transaction to confirm my account…

Sure, here it is.

Sometime theres some more line before brick, but sync point 3 is always in the last 10 lines before it halts.

In a thread on non-vanilla-wayx86 they were talking about an extra gpu until the issue can be fixed, shall i install using nvidia because that worked 2 days ago or do u think it can be fixed before install?

the problem seems a usb problem. need remap usb or use usb 2 port(black ports in the back)

im using same usb2 port i had success yesterday (front), back usb port gives same issue.

I do have a spare sata ssd i could „dd“ the installer to and boot from there if this would help?

Sadly, the remapping tutorial is only on macos, i do not have access to one here.

use usb back ports for keyboard and mouse. connect usb stick there.

So none of the ports worked. I removed the GPU and its now installing monterey.

When its finished ill try install these port mapping tool and see if we can modify efi partition in a way that it accepts GPU.

So, install went through, it even correctly displayed igpu under "about this Mac"

I then installed the GPU back into the system, reconnected DP cable from igpu to dedicated gpu and booted it up, which gave no errors whatsoever.

However, about this Mac now shows generic 7M display again.

I was too excited and misclicked when runme app asked for privacy permission and now it can't create info dump, if u need this maybe u know how to allow it again?

The GPU seems generally known to the system in the screenshot.

Otherwise, the system seems to have some lags here and there.

So Google says I need boot flags, but I can't seem to find how to edit them, could u point me into the right direction?

yeah but how do i do it

i installed propertree as well as opencore configurater.

Using the first, did not discover any adequate option.

The configurator did not display much at all; am i looking toward the WEG.kext itself oder has the flag be set somewhere else?

EDIT finally found sth that pointed me back to propertree, tryin that now

I tried those, system boots up, still 7mb graphics and its overall not feeling "accelerated"

config-noigpu-args.zipMaybe system needs to know its certain card because they never sold Macs with this exact card?

You're a magician!

-Card shows up correctly

-Correct resolution can be set, however, there's only 100Hz available while display can go to 160

-"throwing" windows around still feels very stuttery and limited, maybe I need to enable some hw acceleration to utilize card correctly

I attached new IOReg report.

booted with provided EFI-2 folder.zip

Im tempted to login with my apple-id, I checked my serial with apple and it seems to not be in use already.

2 Questions:

- is it safe to link it already or shall I wait until we finished making system behave properly?

- is it safe to swap serial in config.plist to newly generated?
