I have installed catalina on my laptop and I have forgotten my password.

When I boot into recovery and try to use resetpassword via terminal it says it cant find any volumes.

Can you please let me know any workarounds?

thanks

I have tried to boot into recovery in the clover boot menu where it shows the boot options.

However after booting into recovery, it is not able to detect the main Mac partition MACPART and hence it is not able to show the user account which needs a password reset.

hello,

please let me know if there is any way to reset the password in this case?

is there any way for the recovery to discover the installation disk partitions?

thanks,
