stackoverflow Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 I have installed catalina on my laptop and I have forgotten my password. When I boot into recovery and try to use resetpassword via terminal it says it cant find any volumes. Can you please let me know any workarounds? thanks

I am not able to reset the password using apple ID as well. it does not ask for apple ID. Is there any other option? thankls

However after booting into recovery, it is not able to detect the main Mac partition MACPART and hence it is not able to show the user account which needs a password reset.
