xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Also look in /Extra/Extensions as it is used by Chameleon (if you installed it). HWSensors.pkg contains the FakeSMC.kext. You an extract it from there. I attached it for you. FakeSMC.kext.zip 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870

xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Np. One last thought, check if you looked in the correct drive. Otherwise, don't give up. It must be some basic mistake you did. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870

esqueegee Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Here's my issue: ASUS P8Z77-V LK running Intel I5-3470 (2500 Intel Graphics) With a Geforce GTX 660 card. Downloaded the new drivers NVIDIA drivers so it's hooked up HDMI to DVI (Monitor) As of now only boots in safe mode. Trying to boot normally gives me this screen. Any advice?
artur-pt Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 hello try to boot -f -v to rebuild the caches... good hack PB Easy Note TM 86 - i5 430 M - H55M - Ram - 6 GB - Alc272 - Radeon HD 5470 512 QE/CI Lenovo G500 - i5 3230m - HM77 - Ram - 8 GB - Conexant audio - HD 4000 My OS X Files
esqueegee Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 hello try to boot -f -v to rebuild the caches... good hack Thanks! It's good only if it works, haha. Gave -f a try, no luck. I see builds that have a Intel HD 4000 graphics, but I'd prefer to use the 660 card for startup. Question is what Kext's do I use to make this happen? I just want to it boot without -x safe mode for starters.
