xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 FakeSMC is not loaded it seems. Without it nothing will run. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 should i reinstall it again? did u get these kind of message while u update to 10.8.3?
xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 "Failed to locale SMC driver" probably means your FakeSMC.kext is not loaded. Fix it first, the rest is very similar to my output and may not mean much. Again, you don't need to reinstall because one kext is missing. Get it loaded and see what happens then. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 well. it seems i cant load it manually afterall. i try boot with -v -x and -x . no matter what i do. it get stucked i tried -v -f as well. didnt work
xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Boot with -v -f. If it doesn't work, boot with your USB drive and fix permissions for FakeSMC.kext in your 10.8.3 partition. (http://www.macbreaker.com/2012/01/how-to-manually-install-kexts.html) You need to 'chmod' and 'chown'. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 i try usb boot now. hope it work so tired of it.
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 yeah, doesnt work out. after boot with -x, screen is either blue or black
xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Boot with 'GraphicsEnabler=No -v -f' and attach the output. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 here it is this is boot from usb drive thanks so much smile
xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Maybe I don't understand something but how did you install ML if you can't boot from your thumb drive? 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 i create usb from unishit. and everytime i do install, i use -x/ or not to get to installer PS: OH i get it. u mean boot to installer to fix disk permission isnt it? im so stupid. i keep booting from usb and going into installed OS on hard drive thanks i try again
xsmile Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 I mean boot from your installer, start a Terminal and enter the commands to fix the kext on your already existing installation. It should be at /Volumes/Mac or any other name you took for the partition. You don't need disk permissions, you just need to fix permissions for one kext. I haven't got any experience with unishit, I used myHack btw. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 yeah/ now im doing permission repair, will do those 2 command after it. every day i learn something new from here.
irex01 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 it seems the fakesmc.kext no where to be found in extensions folder. do you know where i can find it i now allocated the HWSensors.pkg. should i install it from terminal?
