xsmile Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 @irex01: Hi again These are the ASMedia USB3 ports. You need drivers for the ASM1042 chipset, check my first post for instructions. They will work without any DSDT edits, you may get Sleep problems though. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870

Mirone Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 after i install those 2 kexts, screen now turn white, how do i remove them now? boot -x safed mode
irex01 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 it is didnt work. when i use ati, graphic is white and switch to HD4000, screen is messy. cant do anything here is screenshoot of -v boot thanks
xsmile Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 In case you made an installation from a thumb drive, you can use it to access the partition and delete the kexts. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 What o you mean. So like I boot from installer USB then go to my hackintosh os to delete Kexts?
xsmile Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 Exactly. This will work. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 i cant. the screen is still messy. is there any other way to remove kexts. or i guess i have to have to do clean installation again thanks
xsmile Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 You may try to enter 'DSDT=' into the Chameleon boot parameter line to boot without a DSDT. 10.9 @ Asus P8Z77-V LK [ALC892, ASM1042, RTL8168], Core i5-3570k, XFX HD 7870
irex01 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 so just DSTD = ? if that is, then i still get the messy screen as b4. is there other option that i could try. thanks
Mirone Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I guess reinstall is only option do with boot -s then type: mount -uw / rm -rf /system/library /extensions/CalDigitFastIO.kext exit then: mount -uw / rm -rf /system/library/extensions/CalDigitUSBxHCI.kext exit
irex01 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 i boot with -s and got to command prompt . however, i cant use keyboard at all. idk whether it froze or keyboard didnt work. here is screenshoot of it i guess there is no other option to remove those two kexts. i will do a fresh installation again tomorrow it is late now so i guess i will sleep . have a good night everyone. thank you so much. Mirone, xsmile Happy New Year

irex01 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Hi mirone when i flash my board with modified rom, it should remove the requirement of appleIntelCPUmanagment.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext. however, even after successfully flash (using DCPIManagment), i still cant get into main screen of Mountain Lion. The verbose shows that it still requires those kexts. is that rite? cuz when i install those 2 kexts, i can boot to mountain lion => DCPIManagement didn't successfully flash the modified rom so i wonder if you could show me how to flash the mobbed rom in dos. maybe it would succeed
irex01 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 maybe i should not ask it here , im sorry about so now i have hackintosh runing now. Can you help me with those USB3 at the back panel of cpu again. thankyou so much @xsmile: are those 2 usb3 are from intel / ASM1042 USB3? or all 4 of them?
