Problem with security update 10.15.7 - x299 Clover to Opencore

Recommended Posts

I have a hackintosh with msi x299 sli plus board and i7-7820X processor.

I'm running Catalina without problems so far. However when I tray to install the newest security update 2021-004 10.15.7. It breaks it.

there is this error message after I try to boot it when the update ran. (the install update option still persists in clover, but reinstalling it doesn't fix it)

I'm running Clover 5119 and want to migrate to opencore.

Attached also the clover config, what to I have to do to switch to opencore?

unfortunately I can't get open core working.

maybe I have to fix the update bug first and get clover working again and then try open core.

Any ideas why that security update 2021-004 10.15.7 update is killing my machine that worked perfectly before it?

when I try to run the update with the "Boot macOS Install from Macintosh HD - Data"

it tells me

Should i try to boot the not yet updated System or boot the "Boot macOS Install from Macintosh HD - Data" Partition?

should i try opencore directly or try never clover Versions First?

i started with fresh olarila x299 efi

added npci argument and generated new serial numbers.

when I boot from an fresh USB stick it doens't show me my macos partitions to boot.

what is the problem there?

with a complete installer usb stick I can boot the installer without problems so the opencore configuration should be fine

but why doesn't it show the boot macos and boot macos update installer options. it even doesn't show windows
