It did not improve my situation. However, I've seen boot arg solution in other places on the net and people confirmed it was working for them. I think my hardware is challenging, it is old X79 chipset (E5-1680 v2 + P9X79-E WS) - i.e. I can not directly install Big Sur on working EFI, I have to upgrade from former macOS. The problem might be parallely elsewhere. I'm trying now to install with different card and make GPU change in upgraded system, if it goes well.

I’ve tried today to upgrade on fresh system without GT710. Mojave -> Big Sur 11.3.1 -> Monterey 12. It’s almost worked - instalation seems to be completed, OC is booting from normal drive, not „Macintosh HD”, but it finishes boot with following panic:

Any guess?

Beta 7

Users with update problems just use smbios iMac17,1 and SecureBootModel = default. After update back with your good smbios.

I don't know why. Mine showed the update, downloaded and applied it. However after restarting it doesn't apply any of the changes and it keeps showing that beta 7 is available and asking me to download the update again. Not sure why it is happening, Should I change the SMBIOS? By the way it is a Lenovo Ideapad 3 ice Lake laptop

Tried your advice and changed SMBios to iMac 17,1 and SecurebootModel= Default. Same issue. Installer gets stuck in apple logo and reboots. Using your vanilla Beta 7 image flashed in a usb stick gives me the same problem. This is the config.plist I'm using

Does anyone knows if RC still supports GT710 with metal and full acceleration?
