However, I've seen boot arg solution in other places on the net and people confirmed it was working for them. I think my hardware is challenging, it is old X79 chipset (E5-1680 v2 + P9X79-E WS) - i.e. I can not directly install Big Sur on working EFI, I have to upgrade from former macOS. The problem might be parallely elsewhere. I'm trying now to install with different card and make GPU change in upgraded system, if it goes well. Edited June 10, 2021 by szydl0 1 1
szydl0 Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 (edited) I’ve tried today to upgrade on fresh system without GT710. Mojave -> Big Sur 11.3.1 -> Monterey 12. It’s almost worked - instalation seems to be completed, OC is booting from normal drive, not „Macintosh HD”, but it finishes boot with following panic: Any guess? Edited June 11, 2021 by szydl0

Ruki Studios Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 I don't know why. Mine showed the update, downloaded and applied it. However after restarting it doesn't apply any of the changes and it keeps showing that beta 7 is available and asking me to download the update again. Not sure why it is happening, Should I change the SMBIOS?
