maucx Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Hi, I'm stuck on this step of the process, I've completed every step behind. When I go to mount the disk to paste the EFI folder, it doesn't show any other disk rather than the usb I'm booting from. I have 2 drives, one for windows and one for hackintosh. When I click on "Show All Disks" it shows the two partitions of the hackintosh disk: One is the APFS container which holds the main storage and then there's a 16MB small partition where I should put the EFI folder, but it appears as "Microsoft reserved" and I can't mount it. Any ideas? Should I format it to EFI? if so, how? Thanks a lot. 1

Shame the app hasn't been updated in years. I just want to mount without being asked for a password each time which is why I like it. Asking for a password every time you log in is also a bit annoying. But I find it also has its own benefits. And you should also upgrade your machine if it is outdated.

Artisto Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 Hello All, It's been a long time since I tried this so I'm a bit behind the curve here. I am currently running Ventura and looking to upgrade. I have ESP mounter on my desktop as well as hackintool. I just upgraded OC today. But despite the many videos one can find, I'm still not exactly sure what to do and a bit nervous since anything can go wrong. Can I get some guidance here from my start point where I can say that I am running an Intel I9 with radeon 6600 graphics and 32 ram ( i think, if not 64 ). Thanks in advance!

Artisto Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Thank You for that quick reply! SO I got as far as step 3 where two window panes are viewed and below the one on the left (if you are facing the monitor) there is an option for "Check for Kexts Updates". the button that is grayed out is the option to "update Kexts" I'm not sure what is going on but after waiting for a few minutes nothing appears on the left side as that guide would suggest / shows. On the right, there is a blue button for "Start Sync". it doesn't seem like anything is happening. What is going on here? I can't proceed to the next step
Artisto Posted July 18, 2025 Posted July 18, 2025 So I have been patiently awaiting some help here- I tried following the step you provided here but the app on my system doesn't go beyond step 3. Nothing shows on window pane (lefthand side ) number 1 in order to follow through. So I'm stuck here. I have an existing ventura install and trying to update. But it doesn't update after updating the kexts. What shall I do here? Why will this not update after downloading the installer for seqouia ?
hugodantas Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 Hey team, just FYI, looks like the ESP Mounter Pro is not working in MacOS 26.1 Tahoe It shows that the EFI is already mounted (which is not) and the open folder shows nothing. I tried to umount or open and neither work. 1

jackey78 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 Mounting the EFI parcel is straightforward: on macOS, utilize Terminal with the diskutil mount diskXs1 command. On Windows, open Command Incite as admin and run mountvol /S. Both strategies provide get to for bootloader fixes or EFI alters.😄
Scott Cupoli Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) Tried to mount the EFI from my system and it doesn't exist. The thumbdrive has it though. Do I have to take my SSD out of my laptop and hook it up to windows and copy the EFI tot the SSD that way? Thank you. Edited January 9 by Scott Cupoli

Scott Cupoli Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Wow. I restarted my computer and it says insert disk. What in the world. I put my thumbdrive in and it's wanting language now. All that work gone. Only boot option is "Opencore" Do I add boot option? What file do I point to?
