drteeth84 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 thank you cassio i have ML running on my desktop. I got the mac bug and now I'm trying it on my laptop. This is the error i get. I have patched the dsdt file and put it in extras for the 945 mobile intel express chipset. http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/8661/20120809174736.jpg cheers in advance!
Cassio Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 What exactly did you patch in DSDT? You probably need EHCI/UHCI/DTGP/IRQs patches. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
drteeth84 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 ok, to be honest, what i did was found someone else's patch for a different mobo but with the same chipset as mine, as I have no clue as to what patches are needed in general. But now you've told me, i've still got the original DSDT file so I will apply those patches you've mentioned. Is there any other patches i need?/How do you know in general which patches are needed? (This is a big question i know, so i don't really expect an answer.) Thank you for getting back to me again. cheers.

unknet Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Cassio any one options to try? I don know where to continue. Im reading about dtsd (not known till now) should I fix it?
Cassio Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 I really have no idea why it hangs there when you use -f, it's not a common issue. You can try patching your DSDT with patch from http://Olarila.com/forum/packs.php Put the patched dsdt.aml in /Extra folder.

Im reimaging my usb to start with a clean one and keep trying
Cassio Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 Is your SATA configured as AHCI in BIOS? If you don't have this option you may need to add/patch kext for ATA controller. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
unknet Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Is your SATA configured as AHCI in BIOS? If you don't have this option you may need to add/patch kext for ATA controller. Yes it is configured as ACHI. Im gonna try to rebbot again modifying only ACPI kext without further mods and see what happens.

Clams Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Probably a video issue, read first post. I did, I have built in IntelHD2000 Graphics, tried using flag GraphicsEnable=Yes/No and no progress. Anything other I can do? Thanks.

Clams Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Keep reading, there's other workaround (remove video kexts). OK I found kext that is partialy working for intelHD2000 over here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=279284 So basically I remove all the other video kext and copy this downloaded kext?? Thanks Edit : just tried to install with unishit but got the same problem. Now writting back your image on usb drive and gonna try to delete some video kexts, see if that helps. P.S. Olarila USB was the only one that let me install the osx on the hard drive but after the restart I got the same error as I am getting know.
Cassio Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 That's because you don't read the instructions, they are very clear on first post. If you need, use TransMac to remove kexts which are causing problems (System/Library/Extensions) and use the flag -f (ignore caches) at boot, or remove /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext If boot stops right before reaching the installer, or graphics aren't working right, remove video kexts and boot with GraphicsEnabler=No -f ATI = ATI* Intel = AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* nVidia = GeForce* NVDA* Post install issues: Video (if you had to remove kexts to install) http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1677 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Clams Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Ok thanks! Finally after deleting all the video kexts I managed to boot with graphicsenabler=No and -f. That error was still there but after few seconds welcome screen appeared. Next problem is the IntelHD 2000. I could not get a proper resolution tried different kext that was suppose to work but everything failed and I was stuck with that terrible resolution. Anyway I have left Hackintoshing to the side now as I dont have much time for it know and am stuck with windows for now. Can anyone recommend my video card to replace my Intel HD 2000? Price would be in 150$/100£ range or cheaper as I dont need it for games or any apps with big resources.
scrads Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 not sure if this issue has been dealt with before; when i try to boot from usb i get nothing and then it reverts to my usual os choice im running on a hp 2230s intel core duo intel 4 series express chipset tried deleting the video kext as mentioned - though not sure if i did that correctly as im new to all of this. if someone can give me some pointers that'd be great.
