Are you using the pen drive image from this topic?

Are you booting from USB?

Check your BIOS settings http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1804

I have no idea other than that. This error ("can't perform kext scan: no kext summary") usually happens with older bootloaders without ML support, which is not the case of the one included in the image.

Hi

Running into an issue, not sure what it is. Attached image of the problem.

When I first tried to run the installation from USB, I'm getting error of Policy Control so I removed the kext and redid the USB.

Then I ran into another issue: completely black screen. Nothing there, my monitor goes into sleep mode as if nothing is being transmitted from my video card.

So I tried removing the NVDA kexts and using GraphicsEnabler=No -f. Same screen.

I then saw that people were having issues with drives not being in AHCI mode. So I enabled AHCI and came to the screen shown in attached image.

It just sits there and doesn't move. Very strange, please help if you can.

Specs:

Gigabyte P35-DS3L

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460

When I used SystemInformation (from this forum), it told me all my hardware was compatible.. please help, thanks in advance!

hello

try to boot

-f -v npci=0x2000 or npci=0x3000

good hack

Did -v graphicsenabler=no npci=0x2000 (and 3000) and got a white screen with a small grey square at top left corner

Edit: forgot -f. After adding -f, was able to load set up and install. At end of installation, got a white screen with a very light square in the middle-right side of the screen.

Edit2: never mind, set up didn't finish. Pressed esc and it went back to set up. I'm guessing that was the screen saver.

Edit3: OS X boot up! But I have to use the boot flags to get past PCI configuration. Tried running multi beast 5.2.1 but its telling me installation failed. Any ideas?

Yes, I have read the post and I appreciate your help. It's just a little difficult to follow everything that's going on in the posts when so many of the links bring up threads in another language (it looks like spanish?).

Try this http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1677

After doing all needed configuration you can restore kexts from backup http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=736

Thanks for your reply ^^

I downloaded the IOATAFamily.kext_10.6.1_Universal_x32_x64.zip file, them extracted it, used transMac to replace this kext in System/Library/Extensions/ But sadly that nothing was changed when i reboot with -f

The Mac OS installer did not show any drive in my conputer... i try DU, but it only the USB...

I think it is not a suitable kext for my laptop.

Please help!

Sorry, no idea, it's an Intel AHCI SATA controller, should work OOB.
