Use latest Chameleon and I guess that should be fine

After installation from USB, it says successful and then reboots. I have the boot order to set to USB first, but when the USB comes back up, I do not see my HD to boot into the operating system. The partition is set to MBR and I believe it is set to active (although I could use some help in how I can verify it is active). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Soooo looks like I may be out of luck. I was trying to complete this on my old Dell XPS 420 system with bios A07. I don't see any options in the bios to modify the HD controller settings. Unless anyone has any ideas I may be stuck.

Ok I got the drive to display and chose to boot from the HD where OSX was installed. My new issue is that I get a message that says "still waiting for root device" and a grey box with an "x" through it appears on the screen. Help?

I installed OS X to the hard drive then I go back to boot into the USB and now it doesn't show the hard drive so I cant actually set up OS X I have tried everything I know, Different Hard Drives, Different SATA Operation (AHCI which is default) ATA and Legacy I have NO Idea why this isnt booting I have tried Clover and Chameleon they BOTH don't show it. Please help!

I try to install Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on my laptop HP DM1 4136SF (release in 2012).

Here's my config :

• CPU : AMD E-450 dualcore (1.65Ghz)

• Chipset : AMD A50M FCH

• RAM : 4 Go

• HDD : SATA 500 Go

• Graphic processor : AMD Radeon HD 6320

The installation is performed correctly, but at the first boot i have a Kernel Panic. (see pictures)

I can boot my pc only with the bootflag "-x" (Safe Mode),

I think the problem isn't critical, but i can't found the issu at my problem...

So, i hope, you can be help me in my step.

I managed to successfully configure my hackintosh but there's only one thing ! I can't get to make my USB MIDI keyboard controller to work.

I wanted to know if there were specific drivers for that or is it AppleHDA based ?

Typing system_profiler SPUSBDataType in a terminal doesn't show up any device when connected.

How to use:

1 - Copy the .raw file to an USB stick using SUSE Studio Image Writer.

If you have error during copy, eject and re-connect the pen drive. When Windows asks if you want to format it, cancel and run Image Writer again.

If the problem persists, disable your anti-virus software, it may be blocking raw write to the drive.

2 - Boot the USB drive and install.

If you need, type boot options, for example:

-v (verbose boot) [default]

-x (safe)

-s (single user)

GraphicsEnabler=yes (enable graphics card drivers) [default]

USBBusFix=yes (fix problems with USB devices)

npci=0x2000 (use if boot stops at "PCI configuration begin")

cpus=1 (for HP with Insyde BIOS, use while you don't have patched lapic kernel)

If you need, use TransMac to remove kexts which are causing problems (System/Library/Extensions) and use the flag -f (ignore caches) at boot, or remove /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext

If you get KP related to ApplePolicyControl.kext remove /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePolicyControl.kext

If boot stops right before reaching the installer, or graphics aren't working right, remove video kexts and boot with GraphicsEnabler=No -f

nVidia = GeForce* NVDA*

You need at least one free partition, use Disk Utility (in the Utilities menu) to erase it as Mac Os Extended (Journaled).

If you want to install Chameleon (the boot loader) in this partition and you use MBR (not GUID, like if you already have Windows in the HD), it must be a primary (not extended/logical) partition.

Wait for the installation to finish and restart.

3 - Boot the USB drive, then choose to boot the HD you just installed OS X (not the installer USB again).

4 - Install Chameleon and the Extra folder to the HD.

I recommend using Chameleon Wizard to install and create/configure org.chameleon.Boot.plist and SMBIOS.plist in /Extra folder.

When you format the USB drive as FAT/NTFS you'll notice its size was reduced. Just open Disk Management (Administrative Tools), remove the 4,68 GB partition and create a new one using all the drive.

Hi there i have my desktop running mavericks and thought i'd get my laptop running ML but i cant get it to boot to the inststaller, i have prepatched my kernal so i dont have to use the cpus=1 boot flag.

i have all my kexts ready to use, once im at the desktop but im stuck here before the installer boots up.

is it because im already have camilion on my hard drive?
