Bootable Device Not Detected: Intel Nuc, Big Sur

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi all,

I'm trying to install Big Sur onto my Intel Nuc, but I keep getting the error "A bootable drive has not been detected".  The USB doesn't show up in the bootable drives option, and I can only load it when I go into the NUC's bios settings and load from there.  I have no idea what Im doing wrong; could someone please help? I've been using the olarila guide.  I had previously managed to get it installed using Open Core but accidently overrode the ssd, now I'm stuck!

Managed to fix the error through the guide; now at installation, fingers crossed!  Thank-you so much!

You must set disable security settings in config. Try this. Replace your config by this.

config.plist.zip
