johnwss Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 (edited) Hello everyone, I've been using clover for about two years with mojave/catalina.Yesterday I decided to move to opencore and go to bigSur. I followed all the steps here on https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/. Made my own acpi files,gathered all kexts,made my custom config.plist but when I boot to opencore it just goes black then it restarts. Its funny because in my first try I erased some itens in the config.plist and got a message pointing to it...But with my new correct file I got nothing,it just goes on a black screen and restarts!just checked my EFI folder structure and it is correct. My system is a pentium g4560-Kaby Lake(im using the fakecpuid),a sdd,motherboard pcware-ipmb250,rx 570,8gb ram. If anyone can give me some light on this...all the log files on the root folder are empty and I dont know how to proceed. config.zip Edited January 7, 2021 by johnwss

johnwss Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) Hey Maldon!!Good news! Im in Big Sur right now! All I needed to do to boot with release version was to use vboxhfs instead of hfsplus! I heard that hfsplus its better, but it just doesn't start my boot. Is it still needed to make changes with fakeid? I remember that I made a change having that in mind,in the config.plist,I followed this video tutorial to make that possible. This weekend im going to leave here all my steps to my hackintosh. I have tried to do all the recommendations like fakecpuid replacing hfs with vbox but nothing I have a continuous hang. I enclose Efi.
