Hi,

First sorry for the long post, I spent around 120+ hours fighting to install osx using opencore...

I just got a new laptop and was able to install Catalina and Big Sur. I need Osx for work and my 2011 Macbook Air is obsolete.  I got the intel iGPU to work but only in remote control using RealVNC. I can't connect to any display, No displays are found and no connections work (HDMI, DP) [ Thunderbolt I can't test].

I would appreciate a look at my DSDT and any patch it needs. Thanks.

{running iGPU acceleration without _OFF for dGPU keeps the laptop screen displaying the boot verbose and the remote control the desktop and the mac dont offer the option to display on the real screen}

{running iGPU acceleration with DSDST patch for dGPU _OFF or Hybrid have my laptop screen go black and not show up as a screen when I connect through remote}

System info:

Cpu:

Intel Core i7-10875H

SG Mode available: Only Muxless (but confirmed it boots screen on iGPU first before its taken over by dGPU when it displays the UIEFI alienware logo]

IGPU: seems to be intel HD 630 headless. [was able to display its starting american megatrend boot logo before uiefi and geforcce take over and reset the bios values for primary screen and auto options]

DGPU: nVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super (Dell) [I couldn't disable it in bios using ru.efi (couldn't patch and flash my bios, too new or couldn't find the right tool to reflash it as a rom)

Mac SSD:

Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB (500 GB, PCI-E 3.0 x4)

Windows SSD: PC611 NVMe SK hynix 1TB (1024 GB, PCI-E 3.0 x4) [slot Disabled with DSDT ot it doesnt boot into mac]

What I think might work:

removing the dGPU from the DSDT completely

or finding how to take over the screen after _OFF and give it back to iGPU ( saw a switch function in DSDT that act different depending on a value)

or removing dGPU and reconnecting lcd to iGPU

or alas ... Crying for choosing a FHD 144hz Gsync display instead of a 4K 60hz, maybe they have muxed...

What does and doesnt work for now:

Wifi works but slow and not full speed

Lan doesnt work

Brightness keys doesnt work

Sleep under no iGPU acceleration freezes picture and screen doesnt sleep

Touchpad and keyboard works

Sound works but not the microphone and sound only comes out from the right speaker

Camera works

Bluetooth works (v3) but BTver5 doesn't and airdrop doesnt work

Thunderbolt (didnt take time to test it as I dont have any cable or hardware for it, my guess is it doesnt, for now its disabled in the bios)

Cheers

I tried with DSDT only and DSDT + SSD2block

I use opencore not clover (don't know how to configure clover)

Results:

DSDT only: after nvram reset it restarts quickly, second time it stops at Hid for a few seconds then resume and crash. screen Pictures in rar file

DSDT + SSD2block: Just stays at the Hid message and shows as connection in RealVNC but don't connect and after a while the computer restarts

I use the same config.plist I got previously.

Cheers

what ur nvme?

My Windows NVMe is "PC611 NVMe SK hynix 1TB (1024 GB, PCI-E 3.0 x4)"

Doesnt work with NVMEfix.kext so I just disabled the slot, I don't need it.

New DSDT boots, I still get acceleration in remote but no HDMi or laptop screen (only have boot text).

I generated the Hackintool patch, do I need to select specific options beside EDID?

I tried the patch but in remote I dont have anymore acceleration and intel iGPU don't show as a graphic card.

One ACPI error keeps flashing on boot with the new DSDT as in the screenshot I added.

Cheers

I added the property to  config.plist but Hdmi is still not detected and the laptop screen have the verbose text. I added my config here, is it correctly set? Otherwise maybe there is a way in the dsdt to force display on iGPU or link the lc0 value to iGPU?

Thanks

yes even if the nvidia dont show inside osx it keeps the text displayed . It stays on the boot text as osx boot and when connected through remote RealVnc I don't see the display nor HDmi as possible screens to use.

There is an ACPI error that keeps looping at boot as in the screenshot:

Video is here: onedrive https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqME_nIi-iYNvKBChMJj5dcCNY6IFQ?e=ixcaS0

AC now don't display as plugged in or charging, it was before this bug.

Seems that the main issue I have is that I don't know what settings are the framebuffer connectors to find the screen and hdmi connection. Hackintool doesnt display a red or green color on any connectors I have connected nor any display. They dont seems to be read.

I couldn't find any that worked. I saw a DMVT=0x02 value in dsdt that either talk to the display through the dgpu or the igpu.

Since I don't knwo how to force it to switch the control back to the igpu, I will take a break. I was working on this everyday for 20days.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers
