I've been running Logic Pro x on Catalina 10.15.7 for about 2 months now and it runs quite smooth, a few crashes here and there but since projects always get saved I won't complain. But, on the other hand, I've never had the playhead, it just doesn't exist! (By playhead I mean the bar that moves along while playing).
I did found some people saying that minimizing and opening again fixes the playhead, but it won't in my case, it's never been there to begin with. I also tried to re-install logic and that didn't fix the problem. I guess this might be a hackintosh problem, some things like videos and some apps don't run smooth at all, but I really only need logic.

(If I miss something I'm sorry, not sure what's important or not)

*I do have a Gigabyte geforce 1070 Ti but I run Catalina with the screen plugged on the motherboard, I'm not sure how to check the graphic card on it!

PS: I'm sorry if this post isn't supposed to be here, I didn't know where to fit it.
Have a nice day :)

Hi,

Any chance such a fix would work on my unsupported imac running Catalina.  I have the same issue where Logic Pro 10.6 doesn't show playhead.

Apparently it is because it doesn't have Metal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't understan why people use Olarila efi folder and add many bad things on it.

U dont need add nothing, just need remove unused lan kexts and some bootargs like agdpmod=pikera in ur case

EFI.zip

-Bios/UEFI in full default settings(CSM to Disable with AMD GPU - Sata to Ahci - Secure Boot Disable on mobiles)
-Delete old EFI folder and paste new. Don't use merge files
-Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. Use Copy/Paste instead
-Reset NVRAM one time - with OpenCore use entry "Reset Nvram" / with Clover use F11 key on boot screen

DON`T CHANGE NOTHING IN THIS EFI FOLDER
