Olaf Kosowski Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) Hi, it's my first post on this forum, so forgive me, if I put it into a wrong place. I'm total amateur, so I have to do everything step-by-step, like a noob. From a few days 'm trying to set up Big Sur Hackintosh (previously I used Catalina made with Uni and Multi-beast, but I don't wanna use Tonymacx86's tools- I think, that You know why) I used a config.plist and boot loader downloaded from: https://www.olarila.com/topic/10934-guide-new-clover-bootloader-integration-quirks-configuration/ and MacOS installer downloaded from AppStore and ported to USB via terminal. after downloading I edited config.plist, changed SMBIOS to iMac 17,1", set FakeCPUID to 0x0306A0 (wich I use always, because it usually works with my G4560) added kexts required for my cpu (NullCPUpowerManagement). Then I changed in EFI folder drivers from HFSPlus.efi to VBoxHFS, because my computer didn't want to boot with regular Hfsplus.efi. Clover boots successfully, but after chosing "Install macOS Big Sur" in boot options, loading in -v stucks at "handle_mount:633: setting dev block size to 4096 from 512", sometimes at "nx_volume_group_update:6775: Volume macOS Base System is not in a Volume group' Idk what do I have to do, because it's not an error communicate. In the attachment I send you my EFI folder via Google Drivehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1Gv0kFQVtj-XHigeMqIuEqPxNi0AUHM8m/view?usp=sharing Specs: -Asus H110M-K mobo -Intel G4560 Pentium Kaby Lake CPU -NVidia GT710 GPU (When I was using Catalina I forced it to work properly, honestly I don't remember how) -Configured for Hackintoshing BIOS Can You help me? Olaf Kosowski Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 I made my USB once again, with Olarila EFI files too, with setting my fake CPUID and injecting NullCPUPowerManagement.kext (required for G4560), and SMBIOS to iMacPro 1,1; and now I've got kernel panic (hi res photo in the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-XTf11Mf9vg_DzBOA260UHjM7OjE3X7f/view?usp=sharing )

Olaf Kosowski Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 yes, 0x0306A0 (this one was working well on Catalina, the same build, some time ago) in config.plist, checked in clover before boot. Maybe I need additional kext/driver for that?

Olaf Kosowski Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 I used this https://tinyurl.com/ybr968w3 from Olarila.com for Kaby Lake i also tried to use config.plist from here with modifications for G4560 (fake Cupid) and still fail
Olaf Kosowski Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 Well; I'm near of making it work (I wish). I installed Catalina, and then ran "Install Big Sur.app". Everything was ok until reboot- I've had to update my clover (to 5123.1, because the newest didn't want to work), deleted AptioMemoryFix.kext and replaced it with OcQuirks.kext. With Aptio my Catalina partition boots up, with QcQuirks it doesn't want to boot up, so I have to adjust quirks for my pc. Standard quirks from here doesn't work and are making my kernel panic

I am on Clover r5127 and trying to boot macOS Big Sur. Help asap would be appreciated. Edited December 31, 2020 by ManasMalla Added Clover revision details
