ctuprde Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Try booting with "arch=i386 -v". Ok great, I'm in from the HDD. Lost Ethernet though, and graphics enabler doesn't seem to be working...
oldnapalm Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 You have to install kext nForceLAN for ethernet. Use Lizard to enable graphics injection and detect PCI root Install a recent Chameleon and the Fermi drivers. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
ctuprde Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 All sorted! Everything works now, apart from the restart, which hangs at the end... Also, should sleep mode work?
oldnapalm Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Restart should work with Chameleon RC5 (remove any restart kexts, EvoReboot, OpenHaltRestart). What's your CPU? Sleep should work if you are using native power management (see first post and remove NullCPUPowerManagement) or use SleepEnabler. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

oldnapalm Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 My PC keeps freezing when i move files around in OS X? Must be some problem with the ATA kext, try using another one http://nawcom.com/osx86/files/10.6/SATA/NVIDIA/ or http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=211866 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

I'm not sure how to put new ones In and make the pc boot with them instead of the AppleNForceATA.
oldnapalm Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 All you should try are AppleNForceATA (or SuperNForceATA) but different versions. Just remove the one you are using, install the new one and run Kext Utility.

Just remove the one you are using, install the new one and run Kext Utility. Okay, removed AppleATA by moving to trash, installed super and I get this error when booting. Kext.com nvidia.driver.Super force ata - library kext.com.apple.kernel.iokit not compatible with requested version 9.0.0. Do I need to find an earlier version or something? Thanks
oldnapalm Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Sorry, no idea. ctuprde Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 This is really wierd! Booting from CD everything works fine and that uses AppleNForceATA, but booting from HDD doesnt, and it uses exactly same kext and version? WTF?
oldnapalm Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Are you using IOATAFamily from CD too? Edit: other thing that can make it work fine booting with CD is that it uses "maxmem=2048" in kernel flags, and these nForce kexts are known to have problems with more than 2 GB of RAM. This version claims to work with more than 2 GB of RAM http://code.google.com/p/darwin-ata/downloads/list You can find a lot of info about it here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=184224 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
