zfigz Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Which trackpad is it (ALPS, Synaptics)? If it's Elantech you can try removing VoodooPS2Trackpad and it may work using VoodooPS2Mouse. Yeah, I think it's an Elantech. I'm doing another fresh install of OS X and I'll give it a go. Thanks for the pointers, guys. Do you have that particular kext, Cassio? I only see VooodooPS2Controller and VoodooPS2Trackpad in multishit.
Cassio Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I use SL_PS2_Voodoo.zip from this topic http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=175372 just removed VoodooPS2Trackpad from VoodooPS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

I got it to work with this http://chameleon.osx86.hu/file_download/25/VoodooPS2Controller-0.98-installer.pkg No double finger scrolling, though. Any idea how I might be able to get double finger scrolling?
Cassio Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Did you remove the trackpad plugin or is it working? Mine works with the mouse plugin (2 fingers scroll/middle click and 3 fingers right click). Use a more recent version, this 0.98 pkg is for Leopard. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Ok, I did it using your directions and the same thing happened. I can use the trackpad, I just don't have double finger scrolling. The trackpad prefpane in preferences says "No trackpad found" and when I click on the VoodooPS2 prefpane it says "ApplePS2SynapticsTouchPad not found" and then it opens. Then it just quits if I adjust anything. Any ideas?
Cassio Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 The trackpad prefpane in preferences says "No trackpad found" This is normal if using mouse plugin. when I click on the VoodooPS2 prefpane it says "ApplePS2SynapticsTouchPad not found" and then it opens. You must be using wrong version of prefPane. In my case using the mouse plugin made 2 fingers scroll work, but I had no option, all versions of trackpad kexts I tried didn't work. If yours works with trackpad plugin, try to find one that works better. Are you sure it's an Elantech? -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

I'm guessing and found this (http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Ideapad-09143YU-15-6-Inch-Laptop/product-reviews/B004G608VU) review of about the same model of computer...they said it was an Elantech. Do you know where I could get another version of the perfPane? The only thing that has gotten it to work is removing that trackpad kext. Anyhoo, thanks again for your help!

phvrctnt Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 use a clean installyou need http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=258611 I'm actually on a clean install updated to 10.6.6 upto this point, I can only access using iboot. I have a few questions though. Do you mean, before using the patched DTST, i need to do the following in order. 1. install 10.6.8 2. install multishit 3. install speedstep? Sorry for such trivial questions. Really just learning osx86 Thanks.

Cassio Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 is this is the audio code for sound card ? so It will be supported OOB ? No, read about "HDEF patch" in that topic. why do i need to go again into mac ????? It says "choose one", it means you don't need to do all of them, just one. will it differ from tonycrap DSDT,will it solve my wake from sleep Issue, You will have to test it. can I insert a code for ati frame buffer into it ? Which code? You can insert anything, but if it will work or not depends on what you insert.
