Win32 Disk Imager not working

Every time i write the macOs Sierra.raw file to my USB Using Win32 Disk Imager, i check my USB and it's telling me to format my USB stick instead of files actually there why and can someone please walk me thru this i have a AMD FX-8350 CPU
