  1. Thanks again. Everything working except the bluetooth and wifi card.; but I have a wireless adapter and bluetooth adapter. Most important the amd power gadget and fan control working well.
  2. thanks for the fast reply. it was actually a ryzen 7 3800x not the 2700. will this still work ok?
  3. Send me ryzentosh.lan.zipthelio.zip Hi, I am running catalina on a system76 Thelio. 32gb ram, ryzen 7, with radeon rx 580 8gb ram. thanks again.
  4. i will probably stay on catalina for now.
  5. can we upgrade to big sur without needing the change too many things?
  6. Still same thing. it says wake failure; but boots fine via the external drive. then i eject the external. i even copied the efi folder from the external and did not work. uploaded the files here- https://filebin.net/2uwp8e108csw0873
  7. i had csm enabled in the bios. it is now disabled . i will let you know if that worked.
  8. how are things? are you ready for big sur? I started using ryzentosh again today. i had to boot it off the external drive but fine so far.
  9. i found this too: seems other people got it. it is kernel panic for sleep wake failure. it
  10. i will have to check. but it was fine before i ran that power management thing. i think it is easier to have a VM because you can just copy it and save it some place. if any issues just bring it back.
  11. oh. that was on the ssd. the vm is fine. . the sleep issue is for the install i did on my internal ssd. after i ran that power management thing , it always boots to not awake. i then use my back up i made to then boot it up. ( but on its own it will not boot) I have to check for CSM. it is already in the boot config.
  12. i ended up using this to make a catalina image for kvm/qemu.. it is not bad. https://computingforgeeks.com/how-to-run-macos-on-kvm-qemu/ I will see if it will update to big sur when the final version comes out. I may go back to the mac os ; but right now it boot in sleep mode each time, i think have to use my external install to boot it. It did not do it until i tried enabling sleep. Do you have any ideas? it did not start until i ran that .com powermangement thing. after that it starts off not awake on boot. to fix i have to use my external install
  13. this is doing what carbon copy cloner does. what i am wanting to do is create a disk file itself and make a vmdk to attach to virtualbox. i think i can do it via disk utility via image from drive and save to desktop and rename. i tried as dvd/cdr but did not work
