Ok i'm looking to see if something is possible.
i need to run windows. i also want to run osx.
yes i know about dual booting. But i'd like to go another route. i'm just asking if this is possible.
i remeber seeing a video where some one setup linux base and had both windows and osx load side by side sharing all the hardware.
i had osx running in dual boot. and upgraded my cpu from a 8900k to a 9900k thus for some reason killing my install of osx (would nver boot no matter what flags i used) so i decided to nuke it and move on for a bit. I got tired of having to also swap my cables from y nvidia 2070 to my radeon rx 580.
i know in windows i can pass through my nvidia singal through the rx580 (people were doing this to take advantage of freesync through a amd video card and freesync monitor while still having the rendering done by the nvidia card.
so is it possible to have it so either can be booted, and or both running at same time BUT:
OSX will use the radeon rx580 but output through the nvidia card (using vm for the OSX install.
windows uses the nvidia card (and outputs accodringly
and the next part:
i'm using 3 monitors. i want to give 1 to osx and the other 2 to windows and be able to when osx is shut down the moitor used by it will be accepted by windows and if windows shut down have all 3 running in osx.
Sorry if i posed in wrong area.
is it possible?
