Do you think there is a way to get this fix, or should i downgrade to Sierra ? Thanks
-
@MaLd0n Thank you for your EFI folder. tried it but the sleep/shutdown still doesn't work. when i select reboot it works fine, but shutdown gets me a verbose output and then it goes to a black screen and the fan goes loud. Very frustrating. !! Can we try something else ?

Hey mald0n.. Please don’t forget about me. Using your first dsdt my battery now works but Still the computer freezes with sleep And shut down. I’ve already sent a couple of beers your way for your time and knowledge. Just so you know I still have my old dsdt file that worked with Yosemite. In case you want to compare I could also attach it. Thanks

Hello everyone... The dsdt Im using is the one from mald0n. After his battery patch I could still boot. The problem is he asked me to disable the _DSM to ZDSM patch and then I wasn’t able to boot, after I resubmitted my send me file. What should I do next ? Is there a Kext creating a conflict ? After I can get the shutdown fixed and the sleep I’ll be all good. Thanks Guys for your time

I don’t think I installed any kexts in the system folders. Should I check for anything in particular ? All my kexts are in clover/other Do you want me to boot using usb installer and just to check s/l/e for a kext that shouldn’t be there ? ——- Edit Well the only kext that could be there is voodoohda for my audio. Other than that all my kext on clover folder

Hi there MaLd0n first thanks for your time and work helping us guys.. A couple of beers already on their way .. so, after adding your DSDT file now i have battery percentage !! my only issues are: -USB 3.0 still not recognized (laptop only has 1 usb 3.0 port) all other usb ports are working but they are 2.0. even the card reader works under the usb 2.0 hub) I do have the 10.13.6 USB patch by PM. when i go to system report it doesn't show a usb 3.0 hub. - when i choose sleep from menu the screen goes blank but computer never goes to sleep and i have to press power and restart to get it back on. -shutdown doesn't work as the screen goes blank but it never shuts down. i have to hold power button until it shuts down. one last thing im using bootflag nv_disable=1 to disable the nvdia discrete but sometime the screen still blank when it boots up. should i try to patch your dsdt to disable the nvidia gpu and not use the boot flag ? any ideas ? Thanks man.

Hello There, One of the admins for this site recommended i get a DSDT patch for the issues still on my laptop. -USB 3.0 not working. ( well i got it to work using CalDigitUSB but system report doesn't show USB 3.0 hub even though the computer sees the 3.0 flash drive attached) -Battery icon is active but it indicates 0 charge. (I Already have Rehabman battery kext on my efi/clover folder) -Sleep Doesn't work -Shutdown doesn't fully work as the screen turns black and fan comes on full speed but the computer will not fully shut off. (Same as sleep) -internal Card Reader not working Everything was working under Yosemite.. Im hoping i can get everything again on High Sierra. Thank you in advance. Send me Elis-MBP.zip

well then, just when i thought i was all set.. here is where i am: I replaced the atheros card with the AW-CE123H combo card and now have wifi/bluetooth working. then i updated to high sierra 10.13.6 and now all i get is black screen after boot up. Have read much about it, and all i can find is that i need the intelfixup kext. however that kext its already part of whatevergreen and lilu, both of those kexts are already on my efi folder since i'm using the folder downloaded for sandy bridge notebooks in this forum. Any ideas whats causing the black screen after upgrading from 10.13.2 to 10.13.6 ? HD3000 intel graphics / GT540M Discrete graphics sandy bridge ASUS N53SV i7 Thanks

Nevermind... Not wasting anymore time on this. I already order a new WiFi/Bluetooth mini pci-e card AW-CE123H Thanks

Ok, found this under patches.. but i dont know where does it goes .. is it a config.plist patch ? --------- one last thing.. is there a miniPCIe card that will give me wifi+Bluetooth natively ? Dell 1510 keeps coming up but some say no bluetooth is included. thanks # Maintained by: toleda for: github.com/toleda/wifi_ar9380-ar928x # File: arpt1-ar928x-ar9380_v2.txt # Credit: MasterChef, PikeRAlpha, THeKiNG # # Atheros AR9380/AR9280/AR9285/AR9287 WiFi dsdt edits # Verify IOReg/pci168c device @1C,6/RP07 otherwise, edit patch file: # Find: RP07 # Replace All: name (name = IOReg/pci168c device name, RP01, BR01, PEX1, etc.) # # If no PXSX, manually add Device (ARPT) after Name (_ADR, 0x001C000x) to dsdt and # edit patch file: # Find: PXSX # Replace All: ARPT # dsdt edit looks like: # Device (name) # { # Name (_ADR, 0x001C000x) # Device (ARPT) # # 1.
