  1. You mean Hyper-Threading? It's already disabled
  2. J Lamp said on insanelymac that he managed to install Monterey with Clover on a setup that's rather close to mine: Gigabyte x79-UD7 / i7-4960x / RX-580 8GB I tried his EFI but it didn't work for me. He says he could never get OC to work
  3. @MaLd0n I'm getting the same "Looking up EFI_MP_SERVICES_PROTOCOL ..." message with this OC EFI Nvram was reset
  4. @MaLd0n well, I'm getting this, but nothing else happens 🙂
  5. Thanks a lot @MaLd0n, I need to go but I'll try this one as soon as I can. Between Monterey and Big Sur, do you think one will be more stable than the other on my config?
  6. I used to have a dedicated Windows 11 SSD but I don't use it anymore. Here's what I'm getting with the Clover EFI:
  7. Thank you SO MUCH bro. Do you suggest going with Monterey or Big Sur? EDIT: So I tried booting into your EFI but mouse / keyboard are unresponsive, so I can't navigate the menu and eventually get back into Clover. NB. I currently have Big Sur on the USB drive
  8. Oh my bad, there you go @MaLd0n origin.7z
  9. Sure, here's the whole folder from RunMe.app @MaLd0n Send_me.7z
  10. THANK YOU very much @MaLd0n ACPI.zip
  11. @MaLd0n bro PLEASE can you help me with a proper EFI folder? I can't boot into Monterey or Big Sur installer. I always get a panic, I don't know what to do... Sadly your IvyBridge-E OC/Clover EFIs are not working for me, I've been trying for months, now... Thank you 🙏
  12. Hi @MaLd0n No luck so far, either from your Clover or OpenCore EFI folder. I'm trying to do a clean install on a new drive but I still end up with a kernel panic. Here's what I tried: CLOVER: Adding/removing a few of my Mojave kexts to the ones from the X79 EFI folder: AMDRadeonPro.kext AppleIntelE1000e.kext EFICheckDisabler.kext FakeSMC.kext NoVPAJpeg.kext Adding/removing some of the Mojave boot args that are not in the Monterey config.plist dart=0 keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 shikigva=32 shiki-id=Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94 alcid=1 -- OPENCORE: Initially going with your Desktop IvyBridge EFI -> failure Removed agdpmod=pikera in boot-args as I don't have a NAVI card Going with the setup from this thread: Here is what I'm getting when I try to boot with OpenCore: Thanks
  13. I copied the kexts to the USB EFI, I'm not sure which I should actually use what should I add on config.plist? Can I use the exact same kexts and config.plist entries for Mojave and Monterey? Thanks
  14. @MaLd0n Hey bro, I've been trying to add/remove kexts but I never seem to find the right combo. If you have any pointers I'm all ears... Thanks!
  15. Hey there @MaLd0n, I'm struggling with a Clover Monterey install. Here's what I'm getting after booting into the USB stick with your X79 EFI on it. Here's a dump of my current Mojave install. Thanks for your help! Send_me.zip
  16. Hi @MaLd0n, I'm currently using 10.14.6. Would like to know which version will run best on my setup. v12? v13? Also, is it still possible to do a Clover install? It works for me and I know what to do... Thanks!
  17. Didn't help either, it's strange. Thanks for your help anyway @MaLd0n Happy new year
  18. Thanks @MaLd0n, sadly the update doesn't resolve anything. I tried layouts 1 and 2 again, no sound.
  19. Thanks @MaLd0n. I updated but still no luck. I tried alcid=1 and alcid=2, all I'm getting is a heavy hiss, as if the speakers volume was cranked to max level.
  20. There you go: https://we.tl/t-EeGcN4qpdm Thanks a lot @MaLd0n
  21. Thanks @MaLd0n, I remember trying this but I never managed to edit it properly and get audio working in Mojave. I struggle to find proper help on google for this.
  22. I could never get the Realtek ALC1150 on my MoBo to work with Mojave. Is there any chance Big Sur might behave differently? Thanks
  23. Perfect, thank you @MaLd0n
