  1. Thanks for the tip. I've decided to try it with El Capitan for now. I have ethernet and (USB) wifi working, and the trackpad works as it should. Still no accelerated HD3000 or power management though. Also, I have the battery indicator, but only shows 0%, so I guess that needs work, too.
  2. Thanks for getting back to me on this. Installed with KextBeast, which I believe performs the rebuild of cache/permissions as well. See below Hmmmm . . . this made my head hurt. Whenever I use 0x00010000 (and blank out the fakeID of 0x12345678) it takes 30 minutes to get to the end of the boot process but never gives me a login prompt. To get up and running I have to restart and use the fakeID again. I might have to give Sierra a try (sigh). Edit: Maybe not . . . it's not on the App Store any more it seems. El Capitan it is, then.
  3. Hi, yes I've followed those instructions (Step 1, A1 and A2) and still no acceleration. Very frustrating. I'm heading out on a holiday in 6 days and need it for that . . . but I've been struggling with this problem for 6 weeks now.
  4. Is there a similar procedure for a laptop with HD3000? I've tried everything I can find with no success. "About this mac" shows my graphics as "Intel HD Graphics 3000 4MB". I was trying to use High Sierra, but I get just as far with Mojave.
  5. Have you given up on me, guys? I followed these instructions (from MaLD0n "JeffB1960, viewtopic.php?f=28&t=7880".) completely for Intel HD, and still no acceleration. I was then told to "use kexts from topic and inject same config from high sierra" . . . but no mention of which kexts. I had installed the kexts that were part of the initial instructions (above), and the Apple Intel HD3000 kexts from high sierra. What am I missing??
  6. I haven't seen anything on the other post yet. Should I be re-asking on a different forum???
  7. I had requested help in the "DSDT Patch Request" forum. MaLD0n sent me to this forum to follow the procedure listed. Followed the instructions, installed the kexts and then ran the repair.command but still no graphics acceleration . . . still reporting as having only 4MB for video. Any other suggestions? MaLD0n said "JeffB1960, use kexts from topic and inject same config from high sierra". As to the kexts, isn't that what I did in this procedure? I don't have a config file from high sierra (clean Mojave install) so I'm not sure what is meant by that. Suggestions?

  9. Hi. I've been struggling with my HP Notebook 2000 2B89WM for about a month now. Trying to upgrade to High Sierra with no success, and now Mojave. I can install it fine but the problem is in trying to get graphics acceleration, audio, power management, battery, and touchpad (works as a mouse now). Detailed system specs (an him file renamed txt so that it could upload here) and the "Send me" files are attached. Thanks for the help. Cheers! Jeff Added in 3 minutes 14 seconds: Looks like the htm --> txt file didn't. upload. zip attached. Since the original post I used Clover Configurator, selected FixHDA in Acpi, and in Devices selected Inject "1" in Audio. Bingo! Audio now works. I also had to use MacBookPro12,1 in SMBIOS . . . it wouldn't boot as 8,1. Update: After doing a battery-life test (playing Monty Python's Holy Grail on Youtube, lasted 52 mins on battery) the system now has no audio again on reboot.
