Send me Daves-iMac.zip Edit: seems to be recognising the USB 3 drive now. But when I reboot, it freezes as soon as the white text starts on the black screen. Edit 2: All USB 3 drives recognised once and then if disconnected, they are not recognised after that at all.

Hello, I have made some progress. I found someone with the same motherboard as mine as they gave me their SSDT. I now have full USB 3 at boot, and all devices register in finder and IORegistry, but when they are disconnected, they will not reconnect again in any port. They do not show up in finder or IORegistryExplorer explorer once disconnected and reconnected until next reboot. Are we nearly there? Thanks.

You're welcome, thanks for helping me I have Seagate 4tb, Seagate 2TB, Patriot rage 2, some unbranded USB 3 caddy with 5400rpm drive in, none of them show in finder on the Hackintosh, but all work on iMac upstairs. Also, all these devices were working on the Hackintosh before last Mojave update. Very strange!

OK, so I still have no ports other than just the USB 2 ports that we're working to begin with. Anything plugged into any of the other ports does not work. Added in 11 minutes 46 seconds: Rebooted and USB 2 works on all ports, but anything USB 3 plugged in, does not show in finder.

I have a Seagate 4TB USB 3 drive, that is not detected on any port in finder. Patriot USB 3 drive, not detected in finder. Seagate 2TB USB 3 drive not detected in finder. All show in the IORegistry explorer. Added in 1 minute 20 seconds: Ok thanks, I will give that a try now

OK thanks, so followed the guide but when I get to the USB 3 drives, It only shows 5 ports are in use, there should be 6. According to the motherboard's specs, there are 2x USB on the back I/O and 4x USB 3 with a further 2x USB 3 from a motherboard header to the case USB 3 ports. It's the ports numbered 9 on the I/o picture I posted above. I can live with that, though, if the speeds are OK. Do you recommend anything for testing the speeds? Thanks

I re-did the USB guide and it was the same results as last time for the USB 2 and for USB 3 there are several ports not working at all. Added in 21 minutes 8 seconds: This is the IO on the back of my board, there is also a blue connector on the board that hooks up to the case USB 3 ports, if that helps?

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated I'm not sure why the settings aren't showing in your send me results, I am saving them to my bootable USB drive. I tried the USB drive on an iMac and that shows the settings have been saved? I can confirm that I have no USB functionality at all if I put the DSDT file inClover/ACPI/Patched I have changed back to iMac 18,3 - I tried the iMac yesterday, I have also tried Mac Pro, all very similar results. I can't add the DSDT file and follow the guide as I have no USB functionality with the DSDT installed. I used the olarilla app to make the bootable USB drive with the 3xx folder settings that I am using. Sorry for being a noob and thanks for being patient

Thanks for the info OK so I discovered the USB 2 ports and I had HS01;HS02;HS11;HS12;SS01;SS02;SS03 that we're unused. I added these ports to clover as mentioned in the guide, but without the space after the =. When I rebooted, I still had 15 ports with two that were being used HS05;HS06. When I plug the USB 3 device in, some of the ports do not work and the LED does not light up on the end of the USB 3 thumb drive and after going through all the ports, only 3 are showing as in use, and HS01;HS02;HS03;HS04;HS07;HS08;HS09;HS10;HS11;HS12;SS01;SS02 are all showing unused.

Where do we get the ioreg software? I googled and it says from Apple developer site, so I signed up and it's a blank list, nothing to download. Thanks!

Thanks onemanosx, I have a Magic Trackpad 2 and magic keyboard 2 that work fine in Mojave, but not in the BIOS (with bluetooth), so while I have been setting up, I've left them wired for now, also my bluetooth dongle is hooked up to one of the USB ports that wasn't working properly. The only ports working at all at the moment are 2x USB 2. Even the USB 2 don't work while the DSDT file is in place. Do I need to remove the usbinjectall kext? Thanks for the help

Hello again, My build was running well and I did the 10.14.1 update and since then, I have some issues. First, the RX560 has 100% memory usage for a lot of the time, and it rarely drops below 50%, even when doing nothing. The rx560 GPU itself is also idling quite high as if it is doing something, resulting in regular spikes of up to 100%. I have the iGPU enabled in the BIOS because I was unable to view images until I did that. This happens with whatevergreen enabled or not. The second thing is that my USB ports are mostly broken after the 10.14.1 update. Is there an easy way to fix them? The system is: 8700K Rog Strix Z390-i 32GB Memory 970 Pro M.2 Gigabyte RX560 Any help, much appreciated, thanks Send me Daves-iMac.zip

Hello again! So there is a software update for 10.14.1, but when I try to update, it starts to install, then says something about generating a report and reboots, but it hasn’t installed the update. Also, on the clover boot screen, I have: 1. Boot macOS install from install macOS Mojave 2. Boot FileVault prebooter from Preboot 3. Boot macOS install prebooter from preboot 4. Boot macOS install from Hackintosh 970 Pro 5. Boot macOS from Hackintosh 970 Pro 6. Boot recovery from recovery I think number 4 and 5 start to do some kind of install and they hang at 28 minutes remaining. Are they from previous install attempts, or are they to do with the failed update? Finally, I have a RX 560, It installed ok, but scrolling in safari and mouse pointers are not quite smooth, could this be something left over from the uhd 630 graphics drivers? Or do I need to add drivers manually for the rx 560. Thanks.
