So I managed to sort the issue. It seems that the Radeon card is not selected during startup if the onboard graphics have a hdmi cable attached. Removed the cable and reset the bios, left it a few minutes and voila!! two days of my life and a few handfuls of hair later success!!!

Hi So I have had a working hack for a while now Asus prime z370 a Radeon rx580 intel i9 Have had zero issues, but last night I did something daft, within the bios I changed the "igpu monitor" to "enabled" Once I restarted I had nothing coming out of my Radeon rx580, only graphics from the onboard graphics and Mojave would not start. Okay, no issue, I loaded back into the bios and swapped it back, also loaded the working bios config. Then when I started it still wouldn't work!!! This is where it gets weird, I reset the "cmos" on my motherboard, when I restarted the Radeon rx580 displayed graphics, but the system rebooted and switched back to internal graphics and Mojave will not load. It does this each time I do this!! I'm pulling my hair out as I know the card is fine and it must be a bios thing, but have tried everything but cannot get the graphics card to start or Mojave as it just reboots. One thing did work, I loaded the "optimised defaults" and all worked fine, but I then changed the board battery as I believed this was the issue, but no!!! Anyone have any idea why?? All is working great, only problem I have is the command key not working on my keyboard. I don't know if this is an actual Mac issue or Hackintosh problem? Have tried all the Mac remedies! Actually got it working hitting it really hard ??!!!

Will do soon, just need to wait for the software I use to be compatible, some isn't even working on Catalina lol
-
Thank you VERY much, seems to be working perfect, will continue to test......thanks again!!!!

Hi I've just updated to Mojave, could you assist please? Thank you Send me Jamess-iMac.zip origin.zip

I don't have the original USB, but I have a clone of my hard drive. Should I create a new USB with Catalina on it from here?
-
Just to be clear, do you mean replace the current EFI folder on my system drive or replace the EFI file on my EFI partition?
-
Wow such a long time since you replied!! Sorry this pandemic had put a lot of things on hold, but ready to update and hoping to update to Catalina instead I have attached the send me file. If you are able to help I obviously will donate to you. Many thanks Send me Jamess-iMac.zip

Could anyone please offer me some help upgrading from High Sierra to Mojave? I really want to be able to update and not lose anything, Could someone offer some advice as to the best way to do this? I have asked this question before, but never got round to doing it, could some one tell me what Kexts I need and what I need to update in clover please.
-
That seems like a very good idea, I shall do that. Thanks
-
You mean that it should be okay?

Since I have just carbon copy cloned my drive, I feel I'm ready to take the plunge and update to Mojave. Are there any nasties to look out for or should an update from high Sierra run fairly smooth? Im using Asus z770a mb intel 9900k radeon rx580

Just as an update, I managed to resolve my issue. It appears that Google chrome had forced an update which brought my system to its knees. luckily I had a time machine backup and all was good. I now have used ccc to backup my disk

So after months of trouble free operation my Hack just stopped loading. I have not updated nor made any changes. It starts to load and just gets stuck half way through the apple load screen. On the clover screen I was able to restore from a previous time machine back up and all worked until i restarted, then the same happened. I get the below image when in verbose mode. Unfortunately I do not have my original boot usb. Can someone please help me, I'm willing to donate beer.[error.jpg.pdf
