  1. Yes, it's by far the best this naming is just some nice to have cleanup. If the source would have been on github one could see where the labels are read and we could change it.
  2. So where does it get the partition names. It's saying "Untitled" and "Untitled 2" for most of my partitions, how do I change that?
  3. I think you should read up on the dortania guide. The one thing that got mine booted is I downloaded the SSDT-EC-DESKTOP.aml and put in OC. then it all worked.
  4. Got it all working in Open Core. Had problems with reboot on idle but disabling AGDP from loading solved that. (Vega 56, iMac Pro 1,1 (to get HEVC&H265)). Then I tried to enable power management on the CPU which seems to work OOB. But anyways I tried the method in OpenCore using SSDT-PLUG-DRTNA.AML and cpufriend/cpufriendata but I cannot get it to go over 1.2Ghz with that trick... So question is have I misinterpreted OpenCore guide? It says Ivy Bridge-E should use the X86platformplugin-method. Since Xeon E5 V2 is Ivy bridge-EP I am not really sure if I should use that method that says Ivy Bridge-E ? https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/universal/pm.html#enabling-x86platformplugin
  5. I have a Xeon E5 1620v2 (ivy bridge EP), 128GB ECC, Vega 56. Catalina with clover works flawlessly....Big Sur with OC install if I disabled WEG. Once WEG is enabled it kernelpanics here, but without WEG I only have one of three DP-displays working. Screenshot https://imgur.com/RowFIc0 Got it working by using another users EFI-folder. Wonder why thou...
  6. Looks good care to share clover efi? I know its not foolproof but it helps...
  7. I have an old Xeon E5 V2 (ivy bridge EP, same as in Mac Pro 6,1). I cannot for my life get big sur installer to boot. I am using Clover 2121. I read that clover is not compatible with big sur due to changes in how the prelinked kernel is normaly used. Should I give up or maybe change to OopenCore? Anyone got such an old computer to boot the installer and install big sur? If so what tools did you use?
  8. I am using the EFI folder with dsdt and ssdt that you made for me in the acpi thread on this forum which works in catalina. then I added the efi binaries from your premade sky lake efi keeping the dsdt and ssdt for my system. I alsotried the oc that you posted.
  9. Tried the ones posted here already, But I reachout for anyone with a system using the above CPU if they could post they're EFI-folder for OC or Clover. please. I get KP or stuck boot whatever I tried. Examples of systems using this chipset and CPU is Thinkstation S30, HP Z420, Z620.....Dell T36xx, 56xx
  10. Thank you MaLd0n my hackintosh now runs butterysmooth! So good. I also found out why the sound never worked voodohda, applealc, applehda nothing. After 3 long days I found it is "Above 4G Decoding" it should be set to disabled otherwise computer will behave odd in some situation like with the HDEF.
  11. Used X79 Olarila Clover. Added the DSDT and rebooted a few times. Seems computer runs a bit smoother but Audio still not recognised so I tried all the alcid=x as bootargument. But still no audio device on any. Used this list: https://github.com/acidanthera/AppleALC/tree/master/Resources/ALC662 Btw, computer complains about power to USB-port even when an USB-stick is put in. If I put an USB-hub in between it doesn't. How can I fix this? http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=45529456253735692911
  12. I do wonder which one to use? CPU is ivy-bridge and chipset is C602J. Is it x79 or Ivy-bridge? --CHIPSET SERIES 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (NEHALEM / SANDY BRIDGE / IVY BRIDGE / HASWELL / BROADWELL) https://Olarila.com/files/Clover.Folder ... HIPSET.zip --CHIPSET SERIE X79 https://Olarila.com/files/Clover.Folder/CLOVER.X79.zip
  13. I tried all layouts and so but all it does it load applealc and nothing for codec and no devices show up in audiopreferencies. Seems it doesnt load codec. The computer is Lenovo thinkstation S30 with C602J chipset and Xeon 1620V2, AMD Vega56 and ALC662 V3 soundcard. I can see some values inserted in ioreg but still not loading codec. clover-files http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=45712889393805286198 codecdump is also attached. CodecDump-ALC662v3.zip
  14. Thank you Kindly sir! Only ALC662 not working. Everything else works. Does it have to be redone if I put in a card with an NVME?
  15. Changed BIOS and new graphicscard. Send me MacPro61.zip
  16. Log seems OK. Nothing stands out. Maybe its the base frequency that is not the same all times.....ie spread spectrum or something... 17. Mostly for learning and interest but slso for keeping it clean.
  18. I have two SSDT one renames PCI0.NPE7.display@0 to PCI0.NPE7.GFX2. The other injects some properties and functions for the same device using its scope. How can I add the device rename to the dsl-file in the attached zip? I want to add the rename of display@0 to GFX2 from SSDt-renameGFX.aml to the SSDT-RX580.dsl so I have it in one working file. SSDT-combine.zip
  19. Yeah, will have a look through later. I'll reply here if I find anything
  20. Looks like this....seems ok.
  21. I have it working so this is nothing to really care about right? Sorry, I just realised I posted in Portuguese forum.
  22. Why is CPU not booting with the same frequency in OSX every time? Sometimes when it boots it has 3.66Ghz as native MAX and sometimes it has 3.70Ghz. What could be the reason? Anything to real bother about? Anyone else seen this? its ivy bridge Xeon E5 with SSDT from ssdtprgen all turbo modes and idle modes working.
  23. Ok got an AMD Radeon RX 570 Pulse from sapphire instead. And now everything works VERY good. I just need to pack this app and post it...
  24. Oh, I offload them to windows and use BeyondCompare and see what's up.
  25. First off a BIG THANKS to Mald0n for fixing the DSDT!!!!! I have a few problems with my hack..... 1. System seems to be stuttering sometimes (at least graphics and mousepainter since music flows and CPU doesn't seem to spike.) 2. On the HD 7750 (Eyefinity4) with 4x mDP only the first two ports work....the other two are always just black (no signal). 3. Turbo mode on CPU is not working. So I have a few questions... 1. CPU is OOB Xeon E5-1620V2. Do I need to make an SSDT for it to work correctly? Should C-states be turned off in clover? 2. Graphics is working OOB except for the 2 additional ports. Should I remove whatevergreen? Do I need a Framebuffer hack? Now I have none configured. 3. Do I need Lilu with this computer? 4. Is it possible to configure Clover to always collect all log files like debug, boot, preeboot, ie....F2, F4, F5, F6, F7 System is: Lenovo ThinkStation S30 Xeon E5-1620 V2 128 GB DDR3 ECC (8x16) 128 GB Samsung SSD Club3D Radeon Pro Eyefinity 4 Low Profile (4xMiniDP) (HD7750 pro / Cape Verde Pro) One 27" 4k screen and two 24" 2k screens Send me Mac-Pro.zip
