Problems booting up Clover after updating Mojave
xWeasel replied to xWeasel's topic in Mojave (10.14)
Thank you everyone for the help! I stupidly forgot to put in the kext files inside the correct folder. After I did that, it’s perfectly running 10.14.2! -
Problems booting up Clover after updating Mojave

Thank you! I reinstalled it and now it shows up! But another problem..... once the loading bar fills up, it stays there for around 2-4 mins. After that I get a black screen. Same issue when trying to boot into safe mode. EDIT: in verbose, it says busy timeout[0], (60s), “AppleACPICPU” -

I FINALLY got it to boot up!! But I got another problem..... my SSD that Mojave is installed on is not showing up. I thought putting in the APFS EFI would fix it but it didn’t work. Any ideas? -

Yes I understand that but before the update, Mojave was working perfectly with my GTX 780 (it even showed up when I clicked About this Mac). Oh I forgot to mention that clover boots up normally on another PC but it just doesn’t boot up on my main PC. Thank you for the help. EDIT: nevermind, I mentioned it in the post. My bad. -

Could you please tell me where I can find that option? Can't find it anywhere. Thanks! -
Hey! I'm really sorry I didn't see your post come up in my notifications. What is the problem you have, because I literally had soo many over here loool.

Hi, yesterday I downloaded the 10.14.2 update and installed it. Everything went well, but after it displayed a message related to "restart to finalize changes", I restarted but Clover now doesn't want to boot up at all. I didn't change the boot priority at all and I have no idea why it doesn't want to boot up anymore, considering it was working fine before. By the way, I use a USB to boot up macOS (once Mojave starts working again, i'll put Clover on my SSD). The weird this is that when I put that same USB inside another computer and it booted up fine. Can someone please help me? Thank you. EDIT: When I load up the USB that has Clover on it, i'm stuck on a black screen with a mini horizontal line in the top left corner.

Thank you sooo much for helping me out! I finally got everything to work. Except for the audio which I am currently trying to fix. EDIT: To make it work, I had to change a few settings in the Clover installation and add an efi file to load my SSD (because the format of it was APFS).

Thanks for the reply. AHCI is enabled and could you please tell me how I can enable that? Couldn't find the option for it on Clover Configurator.

I finally got it working, but now Clover doesn’t show the SSD I installed Mojave on, so I cant finish the installation. Any ideas?

Ok I managed to finally boot into Clover by setting the USB first on the boot and the UEFI as the second, but the Apple logo shows and after a few minutes, the PC restarts. Any ideas why? I tried putting it in safe mode but I get the same issue.

Thanks for the reply. I tried using v2.4k r4741and still got the same issue.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried to use "clover configurator" to mount the USB's EFI and replace it with one I downloaded and still didn't work (I also changed the "config.plist" to match closely to my specs). Do you recommend using clover EFI bootloader instead?

Thank you for the reply. I set both legacy mode and UEFI as enabled and still the same issue.
