What you mean by updating the WiFi drivers? I have already updated to the latest versions of the kexts using OCAT and applied the latest patch with OC Patcher. Is there anything else I need to update or configure? Any specific setting I might be missing? Thank you for your help! edit: solved by updating IOSkywalkFamily.kext to version 1.1.0, apply "Modern Wireless" root patch of OCLP 1.4.3 and reboot.

Hi everyone,I recently updated OpenCore from version 0.9.5 to 1.0.0 without apparent issues. Following this, I installed the macOS Sonoma 14.5 update from 14.0 but unfortunately, I have encountered several problems since then: Long Boot Time: The most critical issue, it seems to get stuck somewhere (possibly related to the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth issues). The sequence is as follows: boot -> the Apple logo -> the loading bar completes -> then the screen goes black for 1-2 minutes before it finally reaches the login screen and everything else works fine. Bluetooth Issues: My Magic Mouse has limited functionality. Specifically, the scroll wheel feature no longer works. Wi-Fi Problems: The Wi-Fi is not functioning, and I see the icon with an exclamation mark. I'm uploading my config.plist for further assistance.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! config.plist.zip

Hello, after I solved a graphical problem by changing the SMBIOS and adding a boot parameter as suggested in another thread, now it seem that I have lost power management (i7-6700K) Even with very low activity the processor remains at high frequencies constantly although the native power management seems to be loaded correctly as visible from the IORegistryExplorer. What's the problem here? Do i need CPUFriend?

I've just upgraded macOS to Sonoma 14.0 on opencore 0.9.5 and it went smooth. Fixed the wifi issue now i'm facing a problem that i got also in the previous release: the half screen green glitch with hevc and heif files. And so also with Sonoma wallpapers and screensaver new videos. Hardware acceleration is working as stated by hackintool and videoproc, so why i got this kind of problems?

Last question for this topic: isn't the internal graphics enabled better? Like real Macs, the iGPU works side by side with the GPU... For example, during video editing , isn't better in a Hackintosh having the iGPU ( intel hd530 ) enabled ?

Static noise sound bug from speakers
EdoardoConti replied to EdoardoConti's topic in Catalina (10.15)
What do u mean with "use bluetooth" ? Connect speakers with BT? That's not a optimal solution overall ... -
Ok. Thank you so much for your work man!

I'm trying to setting up the classic Apple Chime with Clover's AudioPkg drivers ( https://github.com/Goldfish64/AudioPkg#BootChimeCfg ) . I installed AudioDxe uefi driver and copied sound.wav to the theme's folder in use (I also tried to rename it to "startup.wav"). I rebooted, in the clover options I selected audio startup, check the source that can play the audio and with F7 I hear a strange sound (not the copied one, you can check it, I uploaded it). Here's the video: https://filebin.net/pvgwprll9n57tnzt/IMG_6377.mov?t=l7ys81yo https://filebin.net/8rvhhhkd3gwttk6t/Send_me_Edoardos-iMac.fritz.box.zip?t=jr1bi2x3 Thanks, Edoardo C. sound.wav.zip

Ok, so this guide is no more necessary? https://www.olarila.com/topic/5295-guide-hardware-encoder-hardware-decoder-video-processing-hevc-support-intel-quick-sync/ When I have to follow your useful guides if in this case is not necessary? Sorry but that's not clear to me! I hope you can clarify this inconvenience.

I'm experiencing a static noise sound when my Hackintosh is running. It's not persistent, It occurs for example when I scroll a webpage on Safari or most of the time when the cpu frequency goes up. You can find the noise in the attachments. My audio setup is a Breeze (tpa3116) amp with 2 JVC speakers. https://filebin.net/8rvhhhkd3gwttk6t/Send_me_Edoardos-iMac.fritz.box.zip?t=jr1bi2x3 Thanks, Edoardo C. Hackintosh static noise.zip

smbios imac17,1 is perfect for my configuration, it's also the same cpu... Is it correct to go for imacpro1,1 with a complete different configuration?

Following this guide ( https://www.olarila.com/topic/5295-guide-hardware-encoder-hardware-decoder-video-processing-hevc-support-intel-quick-sync/ ) I needed to enable "Internal Graphics" from BIOS to being able to get the full hw acceleration. Setting the smbios to iMacPro1,1 and disabling igpu I still get full hw acceleration? (like quick sync to work with FCPX)

I loaded the optimised default. I also needed to enable Internal Graphics ( otherwise I didn't get full hw acceleration ) and now it's working correctly! Thanks!
