Yes maldon!! Amazing!! What was the problem? Thankyou SO much yet again. Best hackintosh community that exists in the world
-
Hey Maldon! You've helped me plenty in the past, and I always use your guides and programs to build my hacks. Recently did a fresh install on my 9900 designare hack and everything worked perfectly right away, BT TB etc... But I have this shutdown problem too.... It seems to hang for a while just with the background and then reboots... Link to my RunMe as was too big to attach https://we.tl/t-4NqU0tiAu6
-
Okay, these are my boot files and config. See if you can see anything obvious? Nice one Maldon origin.zip config.plist.zip

Hi Maldon! Followed this guide for a fresh install of Mojave on my 7940 hack. Everything seems good, except about half the time my boot gets stuck at ACPI: Executed 6 blocks of module-level executable AML codeIOAPIC Do I need a custom DTSD?
-
Okay, I’ll double check with that. Currently the cable is disconnected, but as I said it’s the dongle that I’m trying to get working.... even with the cable disconnected I should still be able to see the correct manufacturer in the Bluetooth system report right ?
-
Hi One-man, its the GMYLE dongle I'm trying to get working here (I gave up on the PCIE card for BT as I read so many negative comments on the web about it, it serves it purpose as a WIFI card now just fine) I've tried various combinations of kexts, but currently its BrcmFirmwareData, BrcmPatchRAM. Both installed in Clover/Kexts I can see the GMYLE under USB in my system report, but as I said above the bluetooth tab still reports Intel being the manufacturer.
-
Okay still no luck with this. Seems harder to get going than TB!! Mental... I've downloaded BT Explorer, trying to change host controller, I can select the Broadcom but hitting active just defaults back to the previous setting... System info displays intel still Apple Bluetooth Software Version: 6.0.7f10 Hardware, Features, and Settings: Name: Michael’s iMac Pro Address: F8-59-71-EE-A3-B2 Bluetooth Low Energy Supported: Yes Handoff Supported: Yes Instant Hot Spot Supported: Yes Manufacturer: Intel Transport: USB Firmware Version: 8.256 (8.256) Bluetooth Power: On Discoverable: On Connectable: Yes

Yea I've already been following the guide.... Tried again but still struggling with this one..... BT is non essential but I would like to have the Magic Mouse at least....
-
Thanks for that command!!! Ill see if that works... Installed the kexts in EFI/kexts but still nothing discoverable in bluetooth.... Under bluetooth in system report manufacturer says intel.. Is this right or do I just ignore this?
-
Okay will check now, these for EFI or Extentions? Also have a strange problem with sleep/wake. Computer seems to go to sleep; power appears to be off. I have to hit the power button to bring it back to life, then when it boots I get the Mac your computer shut down because of a problem.... Personally I don't need any sleep wake functions, would like just to disable all together. My energy settings are all turned off....

Hey all, mr Maldon! So the final hurdle for my X299 machine seems to be bluetooth. Have tried hard to get this working by myself but don't seem to be getting anywhere.... I bought the BCM943602CS Combo Card, WIFI worked right away, but BT didn't. Then read a lot online and many others seemed to struggle with BT. So I just went and bought the GMYLE BT 4.0 dongle as many seem to use/reccomend this. And still no luck!! I can see it in system report and IOREG, just can't get it to function.... It worked in windows but it was super slow.... One problem at a time eh... Have attached my send me for assistance.... Thankyou!! Jack x Send me Michaels-iPro.zip

Okay so real progress being made here! It’s now working with the drive, I even have ..... HOTPLUG. With an experimental SSDT I found, let me know if you want the link? But you deserve a lot of credit Maldon for getting my entire machine going (I used your clover for install and it worked much better than anything else). I have also found you to be the most helpful hackintosh rebel I have ever met on the web, so genuinely thankyou for not just the work you’ve put in to get my machine running, but clearly the work you’ve done over the years to gain the knowledge you so clearly demonstrate. I’m a full time record producer/mix engineer based in London, please let me know if you ever need any advice/assistance with anything musical.... I now have to choose the right audio interface. Wanting to go with antelope audio but been reading about connectivity problems with hack... UAD Apollo seems rock solid, just so expensive... we’ll see... Muito obrigado!
-
Ultimately its going to be for an audio interface, I am just testing TB with a Lacie drive I have here....
-
Okay we seem to be making progress!! The disk mounted!!! But after a reset it’s gone again. And trying again from power off still no luck. I will experiment and get back to you. Thanks for all your help again man. Killing it over here Jack

Should I replace and rename or just add to the folder?

Yes I updated the bios first. Downloading Xcode now and will check out the ioreg. You're earning the beer money! Thanks again for your help.... Added in 28 minutes 38 seconds: Not entirely sure what I’m looking for. In ioreg I can see AppleThunderboltHAL etc... will double check my bios settings now.

Thanks maldon... realise that’s a dumb question. Managed to figure it out eventually... got the thunderbolt drive working on windows, but now booting back into OS X (with the drive plugged in before powering on) no joy.... any ideas ? Jack
-
Any idea where the TB software is? Gigabyte website? Can’t see anything for the Designare...
-
Thanks for the quick reply! Okay ill get window going tonight and report back! Cheers! Jack
-
Hello all, just built my first hackintosh thanks to the incredible guides and rescources here.... so thankyou for that. Managed to get past most issues without asking any questions! But no thunderbolt yet... I bought the Designare because it has TB baked in, was under the impression i did not need to install Windows to get it going, am I wrong about this? Don’t mind installing W10 but was avoiding it unless mandatory. If it isn’t a Windows issue then I’m sure I can google harder and follow some guides, but would love a point in the right direction... TB connection powers my TB drive but obviously doesn’t show. The about Mac system menu show thunderbolt no drivers installed... Thanks in advance for your time people... Jack
