  1. Is there any support for the Realtek RTL8191SU usb/wifi and for which versions of macOS?
  2. Thank you Mald0n, I will try to test it and write back here. Boot Rom Version is 161.0.0.0 so maybe that supports 970 plus?
  3. the gigabyte motherboard site shows the samsung 970 plus nvme ssd to be supported by their Z390 models. Is it also supported for a mojave installation boot/os drive?
  4. Thank you Mald0n, that makes sense because the new macmini has coffeelake 630 graphics only and it should sleep/wake ok. Meanwhile I put the cheapest nvidia GT710 (19w, quiet/fanless) and now it works fine with graphics acceleration: 2.9w in sleep, 29w at idle, 68w peak.
  5. Thank you MaldOn. Does sleep/wake work ok with kabylake HD630 or coffeelake UHD630?
  6. It goes to sleep ok but when I press space or power on key, the screen is black and 10 seconds later it reboots. 18D109. Could you please help?
  7. is there a utility that shows if a dsdt or ssdt (in efi/clover/acpi/patched) has been actually loaded?
  8. if you are referring to dsdt/ssdt extraction via Clover/F4, yes you are absolutely right. However I was referring to a ready-made dsdt patch-pack for a specific motherboard, for example GA-965P-S3 (three revisions 1.0, 1.1, 3.3). Maybe it doesn't matter?
  9. If a user finds a "patch pack" for their motherboard, does it matter what bios version is installed *or* what motherboard revision they have, for example 1.0, 1.1, 3.3, etc? I am asking because there are differences between bios versions and motherboard revisions.
  10. Here they are: zeg-mac-pro.zip
  11. ioreg dump failed, retrying.... (this is Mavericks). Perhaps there is an older version of Runme.app that works in 10.9, for us who don't like flat icons that much
  12. yes I know that you are an expert in dsdt/ssdt editing. I don't see the nvidia hdmi audio out device (only onboard audio) and when I shut down the cpu fan doesn't stop. would you like me to provide dsdt/ssdt and maybe other files for you to take a look at?
  13. is that topic here in Olarila? by the way I am not sure I have ALC883 after all. This is the audio system in more detail: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086:284b] It's working! Turns out it is ALC888, not 883, this is so weird, the mobo manufacturer website has wrong info, wow !!! applehdapatcher worked fine, installed (patched) applehda.kext, codeccommander.kext and hdaenabler.kext with Kext Utility in S/L/E and didn't edit config.plist. maybe there is a better method with dsdt/ssdt patching but I don't know how to do that.
  14. Used applehdapatcher 1.8, chose desktop alc883 id:7 and it created a MironeAudio folder on the desktop. Edited config.plist to add dict's and audio entry. Installed patched applehda.kext to s/l/e with kext utility. still not working. have I forgotten something?
  15. thank you for your reply, Mald0n. I will try version 1.8 (version 1.9 does not support Mavericks) and report back. Which ioreg version should I use with 10.9.5?
