Install MacOS with Vanilla Olarila Image, Step by Step
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Installation Guides
MaLd0n, thanks bro everything seems to work fine now... except: - usb has some delay when mac starts - when i send the pc to shutdown, it really restarts with a message like this "Will be calling reboot(2) with flags: 0x8" - when hack restarts it show some message about "you shut down your computer because of a problem" sleep seems to work fine I don't have a DSDT file from you for this PC (it's my second)... if you can send me one, many thanks! I send you the new SendMe file again, with final version of config.plist thanks a lot, friend! Send me iMac-de-andres.zip- 3,037 replies

Install MacOS with Vanilla Olarila Image, Step by Step
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Installation Guides
MaLd0n, many thanks for all Finally, I could install Mojave with your image installation... but I had to use a config.plist that i found in youtube: because the video patch that I made with hackintool... none worked there are 2 config in my hack... the config.plist doesn't works (stucks in appleusblegacyroot init enabling... etc) but really, the one that works is the config.plist5 that is in efi folder anyway, I see that in both config.plist files some parameters would be missing, which I see in config.plist as yours, etc. for example in ACPI section, etc I have done a patch for USB with hackintool that seems to works I send you the SendMe file, if you can see it and help me to do a DSDT file and check if the config is correct many thanks! PS: actually, with this configuration (config.plist5) when the PC returns from sleep it seems a green screen and the pc reboot Send me iMac-de-andres.zip- 3,037 replies

In the past, i have donde ir after the mojave installation, but now the problem is to compete the installation I asume tha it is possible to do a video patch before, in config.plist inside the mojave usb installer, is it true? thanks- 3,037 replies

Install MacOS with Vanilla Olarila Image, Step by Step
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Installation Guides
Thanks, MaLd0n for your help Unfortunately, I could not complete the installation correctly... I tried with -x, but the same thing still happens: after a first moment when everything seems correct (no errors) in verbose mode, the graphic installer (gui) does not starts and the monitor enters in sleep mode, as if I didn't receive a signal from the video card. I tried with the Mojave's image and High Sierra's image... and the same thing happens I do not understand well if it is a problem with the mobo or the video card, because I have another PC (very well configured thanks to you) with gigabyte Z390 mobo and the same video card (Intel Graphics UHD 630) and and I could install the system without video problems. I found a copy of the EFI folder in the hackintosher.com forum, which allowed me to install the system but the whole video definition has pink tones and it was impossible to solve that error (https://hackintosher.com/forums/thread/msi-h310-pro-vh-i3-8100-uhd-630-10-14.710/). It refers to an MSI mobo, but with the H310 chipset I leave attached the copy of that efi folder ... If you can help me, greatly grateful! Many thanks EFI.zip- 3,037 replies

kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Installation Guides
Hi Mald0n! I'm trying to install Mojave (Olarila image from here) on my PC, but after the start in verbose mode, the installer enters in black screen and nothing appears ... the monitor stops registering signal. My PC specs Gigabyte H310M H Intel i5 8400 video UHD Graphics 630 I do not know what is happening and how to pass from the first stage that shows in verbose mode ... but does not access to the install gui (doesn't launch) many thanks friend!- 3,037 replies

OpenCore bootloader with development SDK
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in NEWS Releases & Updates
Ahh ok! and I edit the config.plist for optimizing PC components? the clover configurator is no longer used, obviously ... to edit in theory, replacing the efi folder the hack would work and then I will optimize other components in config.plist, right? What are the advantages of this method, is it more "native" like Mac, etc? thanks! (I ask a lot of questions because I have not found practically any information or documentation on the web about this method) -
OpenCore bootloader with development SDK
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in NEWS Releases & Updates
Hi friends! Sorry for my ignorance... But, how does it work? It replace the Clover bootloader? Maybe is the future method to do hackintosh? I really don't undesrstand the process... but I'm curious saludos! -
I know it was a purely aesthetic nonsense, but I found that solution! If someone does not plan to update to 10.14.4 for now and does not want to see the red Software Update notification bubble on the System Preferences app in MacOS Mojave (not App Store), there is the solution: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/344278/how-can-i-disable-the-red-software-update-notification-bubble-on-the-system-pref Basically what resulst to me: defaults write com.apple.systempreferences AttentionPrefBundleIDs 0 Killall Dock thanks!

Morselina, maybe I'll wait a couple of weeks until there's a newer clover boot and read a little more about how this update has result... about what I can read, this update has been more problematic than the previous ones thank you very much MaLd0n for all the help given! when I am encouraged to install the update, I tell you how everything has resulted! a very silly (cosmetic) question ... in case I decide not to move forward with the update, is there a way to remove this update notice available in system settings, dou you think? many thanks!
-
Hi Morselina (and all), thank you very much for your warning! Currently, I'm like in your case: my hack works perfectly with 10.14.3 with video patch made by hackintool (inject info about platformId etc in config.plist), with the USB patch also made by hackintool (generates USBports.kext) I absolutely trust in MaLd0n's recommendations about the update, the steps to do: update clover, update kexts, install update, etc I still did not apply the update because I did not have time to work quietly with the hack... But, as in your case, I've seen out there that this update seems to be different from others and breaks several configurations that previously worked very well So... maybe I'll wait a bit and see the big picture about this update and if new tips or warnings appear to avoid having a headache and my hack will not start, enter in boot loop, etc many thanks for all!!!
-
Ah, very good MaLd0n!! So I'll tray soon, you are the absolute guarantee of good Hack performance! Many thanks!!
-
Hi again! Just a simple questions before update... The update breaks some of the patches made by hackintool? Actually I have the video patch for UHD 630 (works great!) injected in config.plist and the USB patch, with the custom USBPorts.kext I have the lastes clover boot installed... So, it is not necessary to reinstall before the update, right? Just update the kexts (Lilu, WGE, AppleALC) before 10.14.4... thanks! sorry for many questiones, but I do not want to be surprised that the hack does not start, boot loop, kernel panic, etc...
-
Thanks! I'll tray and chek is everything goes ok saludos!
-
Thank you very much MaLd0n! Then, the recommended steps would be? - Update to the most recent kexts (Lilu, Whatevergreen, etc) - Install the latest clover - Update MacOs to 10.14.4 - Reinstall Clover do you recommend following these steps? I mean, to avoid any kernel panic or some problem like that... the update does not affect the USB's patches (via hackintool) or video patch, right? thanks!

Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
Many thanks erroruser! I don't know if it's necessary update some kets like Lilu, when everything seems to work great, but... many times users recommend that something to advise: I do not know if it is related to having generated the patch for the video or with the current (newer) version of hackintool, but I had to generate the USB patch again because all the ports appeared as "internal" saludos! -

Hi, all is ok and fine in my hack!! I attach the config.plist if anybody needs it... My mobo GA Z370 HD3 (two connectors: HDMI and DVI) and CoffeLake i5 8400 - Intel UHD 630 Just the last question: can I update Lilu kext and there are no issues with that? I suppose is better have the lastet lilu.ket... bu just in case, I ask thanks a lot for all the help and dedication! saludos desde Argentina config.plist.zip -

Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
Thanks, MaLd0n! I use actually the MacMini 8,1 definition and there are not glitches... but if you recommed iMac 18,1, maybe I'll try the only thing is what I said... I change the parameters in hackintool to: STOLEN: 57 MB, FBMEM: 0 bytes, VRAM: 1536 MB, Flags: 0x00801302 TOTAL STOLEN: 58 MB, TOTAL CURSOR: 1 MB (1572864 bytes), MAX STOLEN: 172 MB, MAX OVERALL: 173 MB (181940224 bytes) in VRAM section... but now, when I reboot (everything is ok) in hackintool shows: STOLEN 19 Mb / FBMem 9 Mb / VRAM 2048 Mb / Max Stolen 67 Mb / Total Stolen 20 Mb / Total Cursor 1 Mb / Max Overall 68 Mb It seems like that wehn I open hackintool and select "framebuffer -- MacOs 10.14" EDIT: In my Mobo I can set DVMT in 128 MB... So do I need to use the "DVMT pre-alloc 32 MB" option in hackintool? this option has something to do with the vram variables? I don't have 4K monitor or screen... do I need to use the option "VRAM 2048 MB" ?? many thanks! -
Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
Hi friends! So, I believe everything is ok after apply the patch/changes! What I did: - follow this guide - Set Platform ID to 0x3E9B0007 - on the first try, change smbios to MacMini 8.1 and in connectors I changed the active connector (in red) by type hdmi, which is the correct one of the mother. Result: the hack boots but the screen looks all in shades of pink. - So I changed three things: the smbios to imac 18,3 and changed this parameters in hackintool patch: ID: 3E9B0007, STOLEN: 57 MB, FBMEM: 0 bytes, VRAM: 1536 MB, Flags: 0x00801302 TOTAL STOLEN: 58 MB, TOTAL CURSOR: 1 MB (1572864 bytes), MAX STOLEN: 172 MB, MAX OVERALL: 173 MB (181940224 bytes) GPU Name: Intel UHD Graphics 630 Model Name(s): Camelia: Disabled Mobile: 0, PipeCount: 3, PortCount: 3, FBMemoryCount: 3 [1] busId: 0x05, pipe: 9, type: 0x00000400, flags: 0x000003C7 - DP [2] busId: 0x04, pipe: 10, type: 0x00000400, flags: 0x000003C7 - DP [3] busId: 0x06, pipe: 8, type: 0x00000400, flags: 0x000003C7 - DP 01050900 00040000 C7030000 02040A00 00040000 C7030000 03060800 00040000 C7030000 - As you can see, I went back to all the connectors as DP - But in the hackintool patch, I turned on the option DP → HDMI (patch /advanced) - Result: no more pink screen but video glitches issues - So, I changed the smbios definition again to MacMini 8,1 - Result: everything seems to be ok now!! - Now, all connectors appears as HDMI But, as I only have a monitor, with an HDMI port ... and my mobo has only two outputs: hdmi and dvi ... well, II do not worry too much (or should it be something to worry about it being that way?) I send you some screenshots to confirm that everything seems fine (for now, ja!) The only thing that seems strange to me is that (supposedly) the values of "stolen, fbmem" etc ss you can see in the previous parameters, but they do not seem to reflect or are different (as can be seen in hackintool screenshot) for now, I tried the screen off and the sleep mode, and apparently it goes back well without black screen Well, if everything seems perfect, I continue with this configuration ... but in any case I am attentive to advice and suggestions! Many thanks for all that help, friends! -
Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
Thanks a lot, MalD0n and erroruser! I will try tonight with these tips, so... considering that I only have the iGPU video (UHD 630), without a dedicated graphic card, I can try with the current smbios(18,1) or with macmini 8,1 or what erroruser recommends: imac pro 1,1 or imac 18,3 thanks! -
Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
Ah, ok... thanks MaLd0n! I believe there are not any other patch in my hack... just the dsdt.aml provide by you (after sending you the resulting file of Runme). There is information about Intel Graphics UHD 630 in that dsdt.aml, in PCI section... but I think that's not a problem, right? considering my mobo GA Z370 HD3 and the CoffeeLake 8400 i5 processor (with Graphics UHD 630), it is recommendable to use the definition of SMBIOS as MacMini 8.1? (Actually, I use the Imac 18,1 SMBIOS) many thanks! -
Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
Hi, just a more question ... when you said "remove SSDT about video, DSDT patch about video"... it means also that I must delete any clover entrys about "GFX0 to IGPU"? also "HDAS to HDEF"? and anything else? I attach my config.plist before apply the hackintool patch for video platformid etc thanks! config.rar -
Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
oh, many thanks friends! I did not know this method to boot choosing a particular config.plist, very good option! I'll try and i'll tell youy if everything is ok Maldon: "kultrun, ur GPU work good? desktop u can use a other way, intelgfx and ig-platform-id" Yes, for now mi iGPU works ok, excepto for some sleeping issues... but I have full acceleration, full HD etc But it currently works with the injectintel option, not the hackintool method... maybe that's why I'm wondering if it's worth changing the method, if there are any improvements (there are some sleeping issues with black screen and the connectors dosn't match with the mobo, eg. there is a LVDM port...) many thanks! -
Hackintosh Hackintool - Video Patch - Fast and Easy Solution
kultrun replied to MaLd0n's topic in Patches, Tips & Tricks
Hi friends, Thank you very much for the guide! I will try this method with my mobo GA Z370 HD3 and Coffe Lake i5 8400 processor (UHD 630 Graphics) I already made the file config.plist using this guide and now I just have to try placing it in the EFI partition and restart the Hack. So, before I have to remove InjectIntel in clover settings and remove anything else there or from DSDT file? (I attached the current dsdt performed by Maldon) And an important query: since I only have one monitor, currently connected to the motherboard's hdmi port, in case something does not work well with the changes made with hackintool, is it possible to restore the backup config.plist (prior to the changes) from the clover boot? Since I am still quite new, I do not know the methods to restore clover's config.plist in case some changes made break the boot and the Mac OSdoes not start or not work correctly many thanks, friends!
