The issue with MacOS on VM is it's so slow it's unusable. Does anyone know how to make it usable? I'm not saying fast, but usable. I have an i5 10500 with dedicated graphics, I give 8GB Ram and 4 cores to the VM but it's zombie... Thanks!

I need some help to configure, if possible, a Radeon PRO WX 3200 4GB (Baffin 640 shaders). I already have run a RX 550 4GB (Baffin 640 shaders). With this Chinese RX 550 I get hardware acceleration both with SMBIOS 19,1 with iGPU enabled and most importantly with SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 without iGPU.These the settings: device-id FF670000 or EF670000 revision-id C7000000 subsystem-id 040B0000 vendor-id 02100000 If I run the WX 3200 4GB without these settings I don't even have correct monitor representation. I get no video acceleration and a 1024 x 768 image. If I run the WX 3200 4GB with these settings I get correct video representation, I get the correct AMDRadeonX4000_AMDBaffinGraphicsAccelerator loaded and I can see in System Report / Graphics Display / Metal: Supported. Unluckily I don't see the whole Metal: Supported, feature set macOS GPUFamily2 v1 Even though the driver is loaded and the accelerator seems loaded on SMBIOS iMacPro1,1, I'm running this video card on a X99 Chinese system with no iGPU, I get NO H264 hardware acceleration and Final Cut Pro, even though it's working, it's really slow as the CPU has to do all the job. I thought the RX 550 4GB (640 shaders) and the WX 3200 4GB (640 shaders) shared the same silicon. In fact the baffin driver is successfully loaded and the WX 3200 4GB is seen by MacOS BUT still I don't get why H264 hardware acceleration is missing. Can you please help? Thanks a lot!

Are these values compatible? Cpuid1Data EB060800 00000000 00000000 00000000 Cpuid1Mask FFFFFFFF 00000000 00000000 00000000 Without these values the system doesn't even begin booting. With these values it gets stuck at the image you see in the attachment. Tested SMBIOS 19,1 and 19,2 Any other idea? Ok, made it work with such patch, SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 Sweet... Archive.zip

[ALIEXPRESS] MB Chinese X99 + XEON = Why Not?
Fantastic replied to cachiputi's topic in Guides and Tutorials
I've hackintoshed a few X99 Chinese single socket boards using Clover. They run well. I was looking to shift to OpenCore or Clover 5125 as it is compatible with Big Sur but haven't yet been able to make them run. I can post my working EFI if someone can help me shift to OpenCore. Thanks!! -
With the 400 serie there are also quite often 2.5Gbit Ethernet controllers. Do you know if any of those have working drivers? Does any WiFi 6 driver exist? Thanks!

so it's again a rebranded Z370, Z390... There are maybe the mobo specific drivers to have sleep working properly. Thanks!!

Hi, thanks for the effort. I haven't seen the EFI folder for 400 mobos on the "All Chipsets" page. Is it on this thread? Thanks!

Gigabyte Z390 UD Panic at wake from sleep iGPU enabled
Fantastic replied to Fantastic's topic in DSDT & Patch Requests
Hi, thanks for your reply. yes, it's about HDMI/DP audio. What kind of solution to adopt? Is there a property to inject to solve this? I'm using a version of AppleALC that's compiled and solves that issue but I don't know how to fix AppleALC myself. A solution that applies at any AppleALC would be nice. The latest Lilu, AppleALC, Whatevergreen don't solve the issue. Thanks a lot. -
I have a Gigabyte Z390 UD that runs smoothly but one thing: After 8secs from wake from sleep the system goes into panic and reboots. Both SMBIOS 19,1 and 18,3. If I disable iGPU and use iMacPro1,1 the problem doesn't show up. Is there a solution? I tried quite a few things and I think this is not a config issue but some kind of check or... Any help is welcome.

Guide - MSI B360 Gaming Arctic (Catalina)

Is that Quick Synch enabled from a SSDT cosmetic thing? REPORT: I have 2 motherboards: 1 - Gigabyte Z370N WiFi: Ridiculously easy to have acceleration and it all is working! Device/Properties: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) -> AAPL,ig-platform-id: 07009B3E Inject Intel checked (didn't test without) AND NOTHING ELSE! 2 - Gigabyte B360N WiFi: Unable to get Acceleration I believe it has to be used Device/Properties and NOT ig-platform-id I believe it has to be used PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) -> AAPL,ig-platform-id: 07009B3E But such is not enough. With such you get the monitor that goes into stand by mode. So some frame buffer, connectors patch need to be applied. -

Holy grasp... Some of those settings might be good for Quick Synch while on a discrete Graphics card. I will test different SMBIOS...and then report. Thanks! -

Hi, I'm having problems using a same generation motherboard as the one of this guide. I have a Gigabyte B360N WiFi with an i3-8100. I want to use iGPU. SMBIOS 18,1. Problems related to iGPU in Mohave. On High Sierra on this motherboard you have the frame buffet issue that is somehow solved with 3 KextToPatch entries. But in the end you get acceleration in High Sierra. I was hoping your guide would help but it doesn't. I did some testing to try and find out the setting but I'm unable to get acceleration working. Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 59120000 - FakeID: empty = OS Loads, No Acceleration, 31MB Video Memory Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 59120000 - FakeID: 59128086 = System reboots at Apple Logo Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 3E910003 - FakeID: 3E918086 = System reboots at Apple Logo Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 3E910003 - FakeID: empty = System reboots at Apple Logo Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 3E920003 - FakeID: 3E928086 = System reboots at Apple Logo Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 3E920003 - FakeID: empty = System reboots at Apple Logo Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 3E9B0007 - FakeID: 3E9B8086 = System reboots at Apple Logo Inject Intel: yes - ig-platform-id: 3E9B0007 - FakeID: empty = System reboots at Apple Logo Basically you load the OS only on 59120000 but with no acceleration. Any help is woelcome.
