It was working before but I fixed this long time ago so I can't remember exactly what I did, but apparently it was done in the USB drive's UEFI. Because otherwise this fresh copy of SIerra I downloaded from your site should work. Where should I look? What directories? -

I had a perfectly functional Hackintosh, both in Yosemite and Sierra. I had to move and my boot olaralila USB drive broke, so I made a new one, but there's something missing because now I lost my sound configuration. Everything was working fine before, but now nothing, sound is ghosted except for my Plantronics USB headset. So I followed all instructions to reconfigure it, I'm using AppleALC, and boot options alcid=5, because that is the format that supports a basic light blue green pink layout. I read the info.plist file and it shows 5 is the right configuration. The problem is I'm missing something, because when I open the system report, Intel High Definition Audio, is showing ID 0. and not mapping anything as it used to be before the accident. I barely remember what I did before to fix it, but it had to do with some tables on boot. I tried to open config.plist with Clover, but have a permissions error trying to fix it, so I hard coded the alcid=5 on Clover Options, on the Boot Screen. Any ideas?

Well finally after Injecting Intel HD 4000 into Clover's bootloader, and changing FAKEID and platform to 0x01660003 I made a huge progress! and was able to get the IGPU drivers, but one minor thing I need to tweak, is the VRAM is showing just 7Mb, I changed Shared memory on the AMI UEFI BIOS from Auto to 64Mb and I'm still getting 7Mb instead of the full memory, any ideas what else can be modified to finally render 1920x1080p 60Hz with full VRAM?

Sorry but due to my current situation can't afford it, it's way too expensive ... BTW I noticed my tiny G16 10 processor is Ivy Bridge and therefore it's integrated GPU is Mojave compatible, however, I installed kexts for non-Metal HD 3000 Intels and as such now I get an error when I try to boot Mojave, so my question is what's needed besides Lilo and WhateverGreen to fix the graphics? Talking about the IGPU, to my surprise that tiny lil thingy is Ivy Bridge and therefore supports 3rd Generation Intel Graphics. BTW I is there a way to remove kexts from the terminal? Is there a new kext utility? 10.14 (5-6) Install /System/Library/Extensions/ AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGA.plugin AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsVADriver.bundle AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext AppleIntelSNBVA.bundle Install /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/GPUSupport.framework Install /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework Install /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreDisplay.framework As you can see now all these kexts and replacement libraries are on S/L/E and on the other folders ... So to my knowledge this is creating a conflict, to an otherwise easy installation using QE/QI on Mojave, using the supported IGPU.

Do you think I can just copy old Sierra kexts to S/L/E such as AMDRadeon.kext AMD6000Controller.kext AMDLegacySupport.kext and such? I tried using Dosdude1 script for Mojave but got a bunch of errors cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/GPUSupport.framework/Libraries with non-directory GPUSupport.framework/Libraries cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/GPUSupport.framework/Resources with non-directory GPUSupport.framework/Resources cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/GPUSupport.framework/Versions/Current with non-directory GPUSupport.framework/Versions/Current cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Libraries with non-directory OpenGL.framework/Libraries cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Resources with non-directory OpenGL.framework/Resources cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/Current with non-directory OpenGL.framework/Versions/Current (base) ic3XMs-iMac:10.14.4accel ic3xm$ sudo ./install.sh cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/GPUSupport.framework/Libraries with non-directory GPUSupport.framework/Libraries cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/GPUSupport.framework/Resources with non-directory GPUSupport.framework/Resources cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/GPUSupport.framework/Versions/Current with non-directory GPUSupport.framework/Versions/Current cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Libraries with non-directory OpenGL.framework/Libraries cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Resources with non-directory OpenGL.framework/Resources cp: cannot overwrite directory /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/Current with non-directory OpenGL.framework/Versions/Current

My Sierra hackintosh disk suffered an I/O error that couldn't be repaired as I had another disk with Mojave installed, I used it to backup my Sierra drive, but as Mojave doesn't support my HD6870 I was stuck with lame graphics, I was researching online, if there was a solution to at least patch Mojave so I can use my HD6870 with it, and the only viable solution I've found was to use High Sierra kexts, so my question is do you have them available for download somewhere as I just need the kexts that make my card work, and maybe some Clover configurator, guideline. It just needs to work better than how it is now, with a fixed lame resolution and almost unusable ... any ideas will be welcome.
-
Thanks it seems the latest one doesn't work ... probably overwrites essential kexts for my system ... but the one I am using works pretty good ... I will get rid of version 4287 ... BTW again for some reason the Sierra disk refuses to boot if I remove the USB installer flash drive, and if I try to boot with the old Clover, it seems something has changed, because it refuses to boot, so probably I will replace the EFI's Clover version 4287 on Sierra and see if I can finally boot from it. I get the dreaded boot error, so there's a minor thing that needs to be fixed ...

Finally! After struggling and wondering I fixed it and now it's working! Well the first thing I did was to update Clover on the boot USB to a newer version, 5088 worked fine, I attempted the latest but it completely hanged! So I downgraded it to 4297 and then tried 5088, that was some progress, because I noticed a Disabler after the HDEF entry in IOReg ... and found out the culprit was the DisablerAppleHDA.kext, that I deleted but somehow it was under /S/L/E/! I moved that copy somewhere else just in case, and then suddenly sound started working, but with the new bootloader it seems it doesn't show the layout ID is using, on the bdmesg output, so I had to check in IOReg, but I am trying to test other platforms(layouts), although sound is on Internal Speakers, but going through line out, to my BLuetooth speakerm so sound is fantastic. HDMI is also configured but isn't showing as an option, so maybe it works when I plug an HDM cable to my card, or it needs another layout. The only output is SPDif Digital Audio Out, I mean on the output options ... HDMI Is not even there. Thanks for all your help ... You guided me to the solution!

ok, how do I get access to that "ghost" codec ...? This is an Ivy Bridge Motherboard ... so it's kinda old(but I added my decent AMD Radeon HD6870 and a robust cougar PS and Kingston Hyper DDR3 1600Mhz memory), I got it from my gf, and it worked perfectly with Yosemite ... with Sierra not to so well ... Asrock, the manufacturer states the codec is RealTek ALC662 ... but the chipset I read is Intel Series 6 C200 ... that's why I wanted to know if I can get a codec dump ... because I know sometimes they change chips in certain regions ... unless that Intel Chip uses the ALC662 ... I'm surprised how easy was with VoodooHDA ...

I noticed my hackintosh is booting from your Olarila sierra version usb, as it's the only way it doesn't give an error, therefore, what I did was to open Clover Configurator, mount the EFI on the USB and tried with all the layouts available for the ALC662, however none worked, then I also added your DSDT.aml to the EFI partition on the USB drive, and that also didn't work, I checked logs with bdmesg and it seems to load the DSDT the changes and correctly configure the layout ids I saved, in each attempt. THe HDMI is there, the AUDIO layout id is also saved and loaded === [ FixBiosDsdt ] ======================================= 7:787 0:000 VideoCard devID=0x67381002 7:787 0:000 DisplayADR1[0] = 0x10000, DisplayADR2[0] = 0x0 7:787 0:000 USBADR[0] = 0x1A0000 and PCIe = 0xFFFE 7:923 0:136 Audio HDA (addr:0x1B0000) setting specified layout-id=7 (0x7) 7:923 0:000 USBADR[1] = 0x1D0000 and PCIe = 0xFFFE 7:923 0:000 Patching DSDT: No sound devices are recognized though ... Added in 23 minutes 37 seconds: I Removed AppleHDADisabler.kext from S/L/E and moved it to Backup Extensions just in case but the sound still doesn't work .. the weird thing is VoodooHDA made it work ... I also placed the AppleHDA.kext under EFI/Clover/kexts/Other, on the USB drive EFI ... and still no sound ... The weird thing is under VoodooHDA it worked fine, except it misconfigured by itself ... all the time ...
