Thanks man! Now I have everything running well except the dvd player. If I use the ATAportinjector.kext my dvd player works but when I boot up it takes about five minutes to boot and its like the system is frozen at first. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks for all your help.

Thanks so much for posting that link. I would like to try that, but that forum does not let me access the program that I need to find the device id and vendor id. The forum has a lot of helpful programs and files, but I can't access any of them. I can't even access the quiz section of the forum.

Thanks so much for this information. I can't seem to find out how to use the volume control in the toolbar on top. I have a digital out cable connected to my computer and to my surround sound. If I hear sound then this volume control is whited out. Is there any way to use this with HD audio?
