  1. dsdt.zip I'm attaching DSDT I generated for my Dell Precision M6500. My problem is I don't even know where to begin patching it. Hoping someone can help. It has i7 Clarksdale CPU and Nvidia GPU.
  2. The dsdt patch works fine mostly. Just having trouble with shutdown. I did apply shutdown patch, but if anyone can help fix ?
  3. Hello, I hope to be able to install 10.12 on my Dell Precision M6400 Nvidia Graphics laptop. Attaching raw DST as well as my attempt at patching. Would appreciate if someone could fix anything i have missed. CPU is T9550 Core 2 Duo Penryn Thanks in advance for your time and help. Best Regards. M6400_raw_dsdt.zip dsdt.zip
  4. Hi Artur, I have fixed my DSDT issues for the most part. There is just one issue. I used _PRW patch to return 0x09 intead of 0x0D so that my laptop can resume from sleep (HDEF, ECH2). HDEF is camera/microphone, while ECH2 was for the SD Card. I say this because my external USB ports continue to work after resume. Problem is Camera will stop working unless I reboot. So basically my _PRW patch worked for sleeping, but on resume it is not turning camera device "on" again. If you could please tell me if this has a DSDT patch or whether it is kext issue or config.plist issue? That way I can research solution. Right now I'm lost.
  5. Thanks Artur. Here are the symptoms. Battery Percentage! Good SD Card - Still don't work. Any kext? Sleep - Blanks screen, tries to sleep, lights flash but screen stays blank. Not much different before DSDT FN keys with F9/F10 operational and I can see bar move left and right. Brightness control in Display System Preferences as well. This with ACPIBacklight.kext. One problem - Brightness of display is static, does not change. If I remove kext, then Controls don't work, so I think I need the kext, just that it does not change brightness. Suggestions?
  6. Err...sorry. What issue? I got 10.11.3 installed. I also upgraded to 10.11.5. I have also fixed QE/CI. I'm sure I'll need DSDT patches to get things working, like Sleep. FYI, I am using Legacy BIOS (NOT UEFI) Right now, I'm trying to figure out different problem. I dual booted with Windows, then installed 10.11.3/10.11.5. Laptop still boots into Windows directly. If you can please let me know why you think this laptop will be a problem?
  7. This has the Intel HD so I think the "bible" will work, but I think I need a properly patched DSDT. What I have attached is raw DSDT dumped using Clover (press F4 at boot). Thanks in advance for any help. DSDT.aml.zip
  8. Sorry, not sure I understand the question. Let me describe the symptoms then you can guide me. If I let the computer go to sleep or if I put it to sleep manually, then the screen blanks out. However, the power button light is not blinking but steady ON. If I press power button it does not bring back the display. The only way to get back is to power cycle. The way I'm used to e.g. other dell latitude laptops I have installed OS X on is when laptop goes to sleep, the power button light is blinking, and when I press it, immediately I get display back. Can you please clarify what you mean by "the wake reason"? PS - I have minimal kexts installed. I have not tried to get SD Card working with VoodooSDHC because in my experience that always breaks sleep. So that is not the cause here. Everything else is working just great, and resume after sleep is the only issue that's a bother.
  9. Or is there some kext that will help? I'm searched all over and no one has confirmed Resume after Sleep works for the E6510, but I'm hoping there is someone out there who has figured it out.
  10. I have El Capitan installed on my latitude E6510 with Nvidia graphics. The one issue I have is Resume-After-Sleep. Attaching my DSDT. If anyone can please take a look and let me know I have all patches applied? e6510_asl.zip
  11. Deleted all 4 Kexts AppleIntel***Graphics.kext. No difference
  12. sorry, i forgot to mention i tried -f as well. It is possible I have to remove more kexts? As per the link on insanely mac for El Capitan, supposed to remove only that ONE kext, but may be there's more?
  13. Yes, I realize that IntelGraphics kext will still be in cache. I am already using UseKernelCache=No in my plist. Anything else to try?
  14. You are right. I had AppleIntel1000e which I removed. I only have FakeSMC, ACPIBatteryManager and VoodooPS2Controller now. Halts on previous line which is [iOBluetoothFamily][start] -- completed Never had such an issue. I did remove Intel kext from /S/L/E like that guide suggested which you linked. Any suggestions?
  15. Having some trouble booting from USB stick. in6_unlink_ifa: IPv6 address 0x35461271a98a9edd has no prefix Any ideas?
