Both of them are included in your zip file at the beginning of the thread, so I think I'm set on that. So, I wonder if there anything else I can try. Note, Just in case the info of my hardware is: ASUS G73SW-1ATZ Intel Core i7-2630QM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M Thanks

It's been a while since my last post, and had tested this Yos.5 in and out, and the USB3 port got knock off randomly is still a no fix, tried everything.... And the whole system is very unstable (noticed that in this build compare to ML, we didn't install any of the Nvidia stuff according to the instruction), and I got OpenGL channel timeout quite often recently. (I think they called it fermi freeze) Tried put in the cuda driver -> no go. And I also kindda remember read it somewhere about the later build like Mav and above, you shouldn't need to do any of the NV stuff. But I guess it doesn't apply to my case. Search online, some say it's flash player caused it, but.... well, it's pretty much built-in on most browser nowadays Note, it's a fresh install from this instruction, and did not migrate anything from previous build. Just wondering, am I missing something about the NV installation/tweaking? Thanks

Thanks will definately try the keyboard swap thingy when I get a chance. Nope, tried replacing it and it's not working in Yosemite as it did in ML, but I did find that it seems to be the Apple problem rather than our kext. I'm currently reading this thread with my spared time (slow reader here), so far I tried the privacy thing of the HD in spotlight, no luck! will continue read and see if there's anything else mentioned in that thread. will post in here when I find the solution. BTW, just curious, is the EL Capitan still a no go?

Got everything working fine now, no complain, just a couple questions about the kinks 1. The USB3 constantly ejected and reconnected all by itself. I'm wondering if the zip file in the beginning of the post contains USB3 driver? Or can I just copy the FrescoUSBxHCI.kext from my previous OS to S/L/E? 2. For the longest time I was so used to have Alt Key as the command Key, and Windows Key as the Alt key, so the layout will be exactly the same as to a real mac keyboard. Is it something I can do and change that? Is the VoodooPS2 in your package the one that does it? How about get rid of it and use the stock ApplePS2Controller...? Thanks for the guide, I'm a bit late just upgraded to Yosemite, wish I have done this earlier Update: Nevermind on the #2, I can remap it in system preference

Stuck on Step5 (the same white screen with the spinning beach ball) I did everything the same except that I couldn't make USB from unishit anymore, moved this Yosemite.app to my portableHD right after I downloaded it back then. so instead I ran this command: sudo /Volumes/portableHD/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/install_osx --applicationpath /Volumes/portableHD/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app --nointeraction the USB (/Volumes/install_osx) has only 1 partition (tried GPT/or MBR same white screen) with same way installing clover like you described boot0af.... (target clover install on that partition, nothing on the EFI partition) , 4 clover files , 2 kext, on usb boot go "option/SMBIOS/Board ID" and changed the id before boot. everything looks normal apple logo, and progress bar underneath it, and then the white screen. Just hangs there Update#1: I managed getting the app store to re-download the Yosemite again, Not sure what version, I'm bet it's not 10.10.2 anymore. Anyway, create the disk with unishit, (Tried UEFI or Lagacy), all still the same, both will stuck on that same white screen with the ball, no matter what I do. Update#2: I found the solution of this pesky "grey screen with bitch ball" at this thread So to be short, I follow the their steps troubleshooting, and can stop anytime when it works
