Thank you Cassio for your help but I am very confused now. I can't find entries in my DSDT as you said. I have found entries under "display" for memsize but not totalsize. and it shows 0x40. I am think maybe I didn't install graphics via DSDT but if not I don't know how I did it! I attach Grab of my dsdt under "display" if you can see and my dsdt. Any clue what I did wrong? dsdt.aml.zip

Hi, DSDT on install (no other method seemed to work), then just installed the modded drivers to get full graphics. Is there anyway to tell other than through system profiler of the true vram usage?

Olá, Sorry I only speak english. I have only 512vram detected for this card, it should be 1024 mb vram. I used the DSDT auto patcher and the Acer 5742G dsdt.aml when I installed. I am running 10.6.6 and 10.6.0 legacy kernel and used the Modded-NVIDIA_Retail_Mac_Driver_256.01.00f03 by tonycrap. GeForce GT 420M: Chipset Model: GeForce GT 420M Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: Slot-1 PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 512 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0df1 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: 70.08.19.00.67 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1366 x 768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Built-In: Yes Display Connector: Status: No Display Connected I have no other problems or issues with this install and have been using this laptop daily as my main work computer but it would be nice to get the full memory on the nvidia card finally fixed. Not sure how to fix this to get 1024 mb vram. Update Chameleon? replace DSDT? install new modded drivers?, mulitibest??? Can anyone help? Muito obrigado
