  1. Okay, I've try it again 1) Flash installer with Balena Etcher 2) Mount EFI partition 3) Copy/paste EFI from ‘NoteBook SandyBridge Download’ to USB 4) Install legacyboot 5) Boot usb in legacy mode. Still no luck but no black screen anymore. 6) See attachment Error.rar
  2. Sorry, I don't understand. What is the first step? Flashing the .raw image with Balena Etcher or not?
  3. Okay, I've tried to create a legacy bootable USB, but with no luck. This are the steps I've done: 1) Downloaded OpenCore-0.9.5-RELEASE.zip 2) Extract OpenCore-0.9.5-RELEASE.zip 3) Navigate to ..../OpenCore-0.9.5-RELEASE\Utilities\macrecovery 4) Open command prompt and downloaded Catalina with this line: macrecovery.py -b Mac-00BE6ED71E35EB86 -m 00000000000000000 download 5) Created a bootable USB with diskpart method from this guide: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/installer-guide/windows-install.html#making-the-installer 6) Copied EFI folder downloaded from: https://www.olarila.com/topic/5676-hackintosh-efi-folder-with-clover-and-opencore/ to root of the USB 7) Try to boot from USB but no loader is loading See attachment for my USB Knipsel.rar
  4. When I follow these steps I won't even reach something of a bootloader. 1) Downloaded ‘Catalina 10.15.7 with EFI folder for chipset series 300, 400 and 500’ from this link: https://www.olarila.com/topic/6278-olarila-vanilla-images-macos-installer/ 2) Flash the image with Balena Etcher 3) Mount the EFI partition 4) Downloaded ‘NoteBook SandyBridge Download’ from this link: https://www.olarila.com/topic/5676-hackintosh-efi-folder-with-clover-and-opencore/ 5) Removed existing EFI folder from USB and copy/paste the EFI folder from the download above 6) Boot from USB 7) Nothing happend, only a black screen (see attachment) IMG_2401.rar
  5. Thanks. So I have to create an bootable USB with OpenCore instead of Clover?
  6. Hello, I’ve an Asus G73SW laptop with the following specs: - Processor: Core i7-2630QM -> Sandy Bridge - Grapich card: Nvidia Geforce GTX460M - Chipset: HM65 A few years ago I’ve succesfull installed macOS Sierra 10.12.6 on this laptop. Since last month Apple doesn’t support the OS anymore so it’s impossible to update my iTunes and synchronise the photo’s with my iPhone (main reason to do a hackintosh). So I decided to update the macOS to Catalina 10.15.7. Unfortunately with no luck. I will describe the steps I’ve been done. 1) Downloaded ‘Catalina 10.15.7 with EFI folder for chipset series 300, 400 and 500’ from this link: https://www.olarila.com/topic/6278-olarila-vanilla-images-macos-installer/ 2) Created with ‘Bootdiskutility’ an bootable USB with (latest) Clover installed 3) Downloaded ‘NOTEBOOKS CHIPSET SERIES 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Download’ from this link: https://www.olarila.com/topic/5676-hackintosh-efi-folder-with-clover-and-opencore/ 4) Removed existing EFI folder from USB and copy/paste the EFI folder from the download above 5) Boot from USB and start the installer 6) Installer stuck after a few seconds (see screenshot 1) Then I was thinking and check what I had to do to reach the installer with the Sierra installation. To reach that installer I had to put a few drivers into this direction ‘USB\EFI\CLOVER\drivers\UEFI’. The drivers I need where CsmVideoDxe-64.efi (to have fullscreen in bootloader), HFSPlus-64.efi and OsxAptioFix3Drv.efi (to reach installer). Let’s try to boot the Catalina installer with the drivers I need for the Sierra installation. The installers goes a little bit further but also got stuck (see screenshot 2). Can someone help me to reach the Catalina installer? screenshots.zip

  11. [ref]onemanosx[/ref], I've got it working I only needed to generate an AppleBacklightInjector.kext with this guide https://www.tonycrapx86.com/threads/native-brightness-working-without-blinkscreen-using-patched-applebacklight-kext.121031/ After installing the generated kext I have full brightness control. DSDT + Kext.zip
  12. [ref]onemanosx[/ref], [ref]erroruser[/ref], The cardreader is a "RealTek USB 2.0 Card reader" and it's not a 8 in 1 but a 4 in 1.
  13. [ref]onemanosx[/ref], Yup, I have a few things left to make my Hackintosh complete . I'm looking on the internet for the chipset. Can I see it in IOReg?
