For me i get a stop sign(Replacing the apple logo) midway in boot ! I can't even get to the install Pls, help me I have no idea what's wrong is an asus g73sw and i followed your steps Edit: got past that usb port 3.0 -> 2.0 but now It gets stuck at grey loading screen.
