Hi artur-pt, Thank you so much for help. DSDT seems to work, Intel HDA with audio id=12 popped up in my system settings. So I tried two kexts to get audio working, but no success with those, received only kernel panic. I quess i didn't catch you there completely. How do i know the layout id of the kext? If there's no AppleHDA ALC888s 10.9.2 kext with the same layout as DSDT, can i change the kext's layout somehow? Or could it be easier to change it from DSDT file to make it match with the kext? Sorry, I'm just confused. Ps. I also found this, working on ML with dsdt edits: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1431-applehda-alc888s-v2/ Do you think this would work on 10.9.2? I would give it a try but I still can't edit my DSDT. :@ Ossi

Hello, I installed OSX Mavericks 10.9.2 on my Acer Extensa 5630EZ laptop. Most of things working nicely, except the sound. I've tried installing different audio drivers from multishit and tested many kind of kexts i've found from internet, but no success. So I quess my DSDT have to be edited to get OSX to recognize my audio device. Tried that, but I can't compile the edited DSDT because of errors. Actually it seems to have 3 errors already, although i didn't change anything. And every time there's 2 errors which just can't be fixed. So I'm asking if someone would do me a big favor and patch my DSDT for me? Exctracted DSDT: dsdt.zip Needed audio codec is ALC 888S (Realtek). Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 2,16GHz 4Gt 666MhHz DDR2 SDRAM Intel GMA 4500M PS. I would also need help with resolution. (Now I can use only 1024 x 768.) Any advice? Thanks, and sorry for being a noob !
