  1. this happened to me before too. i guess it's just shitty download or something. i want to suggest you re-download raw image from here: http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=3836 (10.9) or here: http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4146 (10.9.1). unfortunately, it's the easiest solution. to run in virtualbox u need to download the package for virtual box again, then modified the dmg in OSX. well, if you/your friends/family has Mac/hackintosh, you can try to modify the dmg file in disk utility, still the easier is just download the raw from here. good luck
  2. what do you want to do anyway? i was just telling my experience. and it turns out the clover in usb boot just fine in my laptop. i need to configure the config first. so again i'll say: learn bout the bootloader (clover or chameleon). the raw image provided here is running fine, even in mbr disk.
  3. i had same situation like you. Windows 8.1 Pro in partition 1 and I dont want to format it whatsover. so here are what I did: the raw image i've got from here wont boot ever (the clover one), i can boot to the chameleon, but it never got to installer no matter what i did. but then i read about clover bootdisk utility by cvad, so i use two usb boot via usb created by bootdisk utility (it booted fine from clover, no go with chameleon), then plug the usb with installer, boot the osx installer. then finish your installation, after that remove (when the restart-countdown shows up), unplug the usb installer. still booting from your bootdisk utility usb (use clover), boot to Mavericks partition (it will boot fine ). after that do the post install. for me this is the longest time i need to configure: how to boot without the bootdisk utility. since i never got to osx environment with chameleon, so clover is the one for my laptop. took some time to read about clover, and voilaa.. OSX Mavericks and Windows 8.1 Pro living living happily in my laptop. it maybe not the "clean" way for dual booting (i try using grub, bcdedit, etc, never work ), but atleast it's working fine for me. hope that helps.
  4. well, this is my experience with the update: i use MacDrive to put the kexts back to the Mav partitions. and delete kernelcache. then everything works fine.
  5. lol. i didnt download the 10.9.1. i use the raw image from 10.9 then update from the combo update (only 243 mB from Apple web download). i suggest you use leecher web. there are tons of those free leecher. for Mega, try use: unrestrict[dot]li. it supports resume download and you got 10 gB daily download (read the web for more info).
  6. i cant boot after installing this. stuck in setwow_parameters. gonna try those boot flags i guess. --- edit: put all my kexts driver for my hardware. remove the kernelcache. it's booting fine. using kext utilty to repair permission (and build cache) now all my all hardwares are working fine. i'm glad i dont have to download the 4 gB installer again
